you shouldn't soak the pellets you lose 30-40% of the nutrition before they get it, its just as bad as leaving the packet out all the time or feeding out of date.

The other one looks like a Red Empress cichlid (african from lake malawi). There's a few different varients. The european morph has been line bred to show off alot of red aka super red empress. The american morph has been line bred to show off alot of blue.

i dont use hikari ggold as it turns my water brown so i just use the green pack and frozen lance fish

@keithjhucker38 The green pack (cichlid staple) imo it not as good as gold as there are not as many nutrients ect in staple :)
