Did you film this yourself? What great fun, especially to see the Nicholas Bros., Joey Heatherton's incredible dancing, and ALL THOSE SAILORS! Thanks so much for sharing this,
Thanks. Saw the show in DaNang. They were delayed in ChuLai and got to DaNang late so it was getting dark and the monsoon rains were starting. Between the downpour and units being sent back to their positions it was getting to be a mess. One of the last acts they could work in was Joey's dance routine. She did it in the rain with about two or three inches of water on the stage. Thought she would break her neck. Still in love with her for that performance.

Bob Hope did very good, it is too bad this was right at the start of the crappiest war in American history, the Vietnam Conflict; but spirits were high, and so was Congress.
At abount 1:00 into this video, the music of Les Brown's "LEAP FROG" can be heard. I remember this from Jerry Lewis' 1963 'The Nutty Professor'. Thanks for posting this.
Great Job on the video. I was standing very close to whoever took this video. I was part of the OE Gang assigned to the Pilot Landing Aid TV that video taped the entire show. We moved the Island PLAT camera to the flight deck and made a 2 hour tape that was shown several times on the ship's CCTV. The tape went to the other carriers at that time and parts were kinescoped for the Bob Hope annual Christmas Show. I have located 45 of the 60 guys that were in OE Div.
Man, this was really a great job you did there. LOVED the track you guys picked for Joey's amazing dancing...she was a dancing maniac What a great talent..Thanks again. Jimmy Wilde
I was in the Viet Minh in a tunnel complex in the jungle. We enjoyed Joey Heatherton best. She came to perform for us but unfortunately the stage was burnt by napalm.
I was there I got autograph from all of them behind the scenes, its great to see this video. I got on board in Hawaii that October of 65. Great memories, thanks

Joey Heatherton comes on at 6:54 and, for those of you too young to remember, Joey's not a boy.

@irish89055 Actually, most of it is anachronistic to that period, and I think it works just fine.
