@DestinyOfFreedom None of the PS2 SRW games (not including spinoffs) use 3D models, so why would Z2? Especially since most of the SRW fanbase HATES the few 3D SRW games that were made. Also, it's not like the PSP isn't capable of 3D.

As for why they didn't make this game for the PS2, it simply comes down to the fact that the PS2 audience in Japan has dissolved. The majority of the market has shifted towards portables, while the rest have moved to the new home consoles.

Frankly speaking, while I can see the appeal of an isometric map, I prefer the top-down view and not just beacuse of the loading times. With an isometric map, one has trouble gauging distances at a glance and can also have his view blocked by map objects. The top-down map is simpler, cleaner and more practical.

@WackyModder84 I am wrong about....what, exactly? None of those are PS2 titles. Also, if you liked those games, that is fine, but it doesn't change the fact that most people didn't. Sales were reflective of this as well....each new one sold worse than the last. GC sold about 60k copies and NEO about 30k. To put that into perspective, most major SRW titles sell roughly 500k copies.

I am sorry, but as far as the 3D SRW's are concerned, you are the exception rather than the rule.

@xminakx that's not the orginal ryoma, must you know that there are a lot of ryoma versions made by go nagai. one example is from super robot wars z, and this one has the most experiences. even at the end of super robot wars z, he was able to sense another version of himself, which he was referring to his the ryoma of armageddon. and the true or should i say prime ryoma only piloted getter 1 and only getter g, and he was one brave and tough character.

People usually post story guides on things like IGN or GameFAQs, especially for the popular ones like @ and Z, but a full translation is highly unlikely and would take a very, very long time. Menu translations are common enough, but still take a while and do nothing that memorizing the buttons does not.

@MBBaronAshura ryoma is one of the toughest characters of srw z. @xminakx you should play srw z to see his toughness. the original or rather prime ryoma destroyed the demon empire, blue cosmos, faith, etc. by piloting the obsolete getter g. he took out ace pilots, veteran pilots, coodinators, aliens, enhanced human, etc. he has more experience than Armaggedon Ryoma. but i like both of them.

a cool mecha game indeed but there are a lot of other compañy mechs to use like: SEGA's virtual on(appeared on SRW a3) tatsunoko's tekkaman blade(appeared on srw j) CAPCOM's cyberbots, Lost planet/ Konami's metal gears (just saying) or policenauts, and takara's transformer/ that would be the best mecha game evar!

I know most of the anime in this version, but the fact I like TTGL more than most of the other anime because of the personality of character and the plot with classic circumstance I felt from here, not only just mecha

I do like getter robo and maginzer z, but they just have too many series and sequel for me, that's all :/

@rematche Actually, it is. Shin Getter might have really similar power source, but it only went up to planet cutter, and that's with Shin Dragon's help. And the bomb in Gaia would only take out the Earth, and that is if Takeru dies, which is extremely unlikely, considering Godmars and all. Gaia might be more dangerous because of it's uncontrollable bomb, but TTGL went way above everyone in Z did. And you better believe that Kouji, Ryouma, Simon and the rest of the Z cast will not let Takeru die.

I also agree with the one who said this could probably be the least awesome unit as for the history SRW Originals... the only thing I can hope, though, is that it gives me the kind of surprise Valhawk did when becoming Valzacard later on, back in SRW W

This huge project needs Banpresto to stop playing around with PT-ish units and the likes... something that can stand with the Cosmic-scale epicness of the titles contained, like TTGL, Shin Mazinger, Shin Getter and so on... some project as big as Masoukishin, and as epic as (if not more than) -insert favorite originals here-

While I don't mind it being a Real Robot, I agree... we need something fancy that can go alone with such a project as the Rebirth of SRW...
