Actually the game doens't explain why Albedo joins the Testament or Wihelm.

But It is predictable. I believe Albedo joined them because he really hadn't a reason for existence, and the coudn't even die. Joining those guys was a way for him to adquire power, and at last convey his existence to U-DO -- what would finally mean death.

And at the very end, even being the avatar of a loser, Albedo was successful. What a character.

By the way, i love it when Virgil says: "Exit the stage!"

@CronoDyne Well i haven't heard of any other popes, in the Japanese version, The Patriach is called The Pope, they just changed it in the english version due to religious concerns.
