@littlericky if you use them on the heavy bag, you might not want to spar with them. It will compress the padding. Depends who you're sparring though

i need some help decideing between winning or grant for my 11yo son he has 45 fights and punches harder than ur average 11yo he currently uses fighting gloves but complains that he hurts his knuckles when landing flush punches to the head but also does not want top heavy gloves like everlast protex price is no issue his sponsors are paying for them which of the two do u recomend ?

@vinsanimo I have the Grant heavy bag glove. I bought them a few years back. They don't make this glove anymore as I just found out from Title boxing. This is the best glove that I've worn for hitting the heavy bag compared to Everlast. Top quality leather, good stitchting, and a good fit for my hands. Title recommended Cleto Reyes gloves were comparable quality to the Grants that I have now. Both are hand made in Mexico.

have had grant but didnt like them...price is also high for the quality! for the price it goes as fallows reyes , rival , and tuffwear! im a hevyweight and some gloves just dont hold up! got to have good stich work and thease gloves are great!

@EBTerriers Very true, Lonsdale has become a very chavy brand! I got the 12 oz Velcro cletos in blue. Haven't broke them in yet though.

@EBTerriers Their quite small and tight mate. I have quite small hands though so they fit me nice. I haven't used them much yet but I plan on breaking them in soon. Even though their only 12 oz their quite a heavy glove.

@EBTerriers In my gum they don't allow sparring in less than 16 oz. I think it's a safety thing us it's better hand protection, I'm only 10 stone and hands are small so I would think 16 oz or more for a heavyweight!

Wut up J. I have one pair of these myself, except that they are black/red.

As for your question, I do believe that your gloves need broken in procedure. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and they are still a bit tight. Just keep using them and they will eventually feel real nice and un tight after breaking in. B4 you know it you will be able to open the palm easily.

thanks. I have the same color and they already feel awesome. Breaking them in turned out to be alot less of a problem than i thought it would. I also wanna add for anyone else looking at this review that the padding in the wrist area is insane and makes you feel like your hand from the forearm to the fist is protected

Nah, thats lies man.

I've had mine for over 3 months now, using them 4 sparring and heavy bag and they are still excellent, look and smell brand new.

I had a bloody mess on them last time I sparred, but I just got a towel with some minimum water and cleaned them. They still look new!

If your not sure, just get Red or the black ones, because the whites one will get dirty.

Other than that, no the paint doesnt come out!

use them for both! the leather and padding are very durable. ive owned 2 pairs of grants and they never failed me, and ive put them through the ringer.

@Boxerkid93 Londsdale is very comfortable but the Grants are just a much better glove. Once you break them in, they are about as good as it gets. I think the 3 best gloves in the world are Winning, Grants and Reyes.
