Thanx guys. I just bought them and I like them more than my bag gloves. I'm just afraid to use them in the heavy bag and mess them up since I they are expensive. One of my trainers is a former 2 times world champ and he said to use them in the heavy bag especially to
wow you are retarted your reviews dont help with shit, you dont tell us anything about the gloves or even rate them amongst the others..you are fucking retarted. taken way to many punches to the head?
For me Grants are the best gloves in all the catagories sparring, bag and pro fight gloves. Idk just something about them. Very comfortable and ive tried every glove u can think of .e last., c.r. winning, rival, title, ringside, adidas, twins, pro mex, windy, reebok, lonsdale etc etc
i need some help decideing between winning or grant for my 11yo son he has 45 fights and punches harder than ur average 11yo he currently uses fighting gloves but complains that he hurts his knuckles when landing flush punches to the head but also does not want top heavy gloves like everlast protex price is no issue his sponsors are paying for them which of the two do u recomend ?
@vinsanimo I have the Grant heavy bag glove. I bought them a few years back. They don't make this glove anymore as I just found out from Title boxing. This is the best glove that I've worn for hitting the heavy bag compared to Everlast. Top quality leather, good stitchting, and a good fit for my hands. Title recommended Cleto Reyes gloves were comparable quality to the Grants that I have now. Both are hand made in Mexico.
have had grant but didnt like them...price is also high for the quality! for the price it goes as fallows reyes , rival , and tuffwear! im a hevyweight and some gloves just dont hold up! got to have good stich work and thease gloves are great!
@hawkman350 Thinking about getting the 12 oz Velcro cletos my self ...might get the limited edition brown ones tho? The twins i am using are 14 oz but look more like 18 oz lol
Whats those Cletos like mate ?? are they a small 12 oz or would i be better off getting a 14 oz in those ?
@EBTerriers Their quite small and tight mate. I have quite small hands though so they fit me nice. I haven't used them much yet but I plan on breaking them in soon. Even though their only 12 oz their quite a heavy glove.
@hawkman350 wouldnt a Cleto in a 12 oz be a little small to spar with tho ? I am a heavyweight so i think i might get a 14 oz in them ! Tried a Pro Mex glove on in a 14 oz last night and thought they were to small to spar with tho !
@EBTerriers In my gum they don't allow sparring in less than 16 oz. I think it's a safety thing us it's better hand protection, I'm only 10 stone and hands are small so I would think 16 oz or more for a heavyweight!
@gameboy010203 Mate i ent being a dick lol...its just that the mma gym i train at most of my sparring partners use 12 oz gloves so would i be that much of a dick if i get 14 oz ?? Like i said earlier at the mo i am using 14 oz twins which look bigger than every 16 oz glove i eva see ....so i just thought i would get the Cletos in a 14 oz ,if they look to small when they turn up i can always send em back !
@gameboy010203 i've been hit with reyes before and it's not as bad as you guy's make it sound. it feels just like any other glove imo. if you are wearing headgear.
@gqunit69 I would say Grant. I haven't used Reyes but everybody I know that have used them have broken their hand. They do a lot of damage to the target tho!
i ordered these gloves they just came in so i have a new question. Were your grants kinda tight when you first got them? mine are kinda tight so im thinkin they may just need to be broken in.
Wut up J. I have one pair of these myself, except that they are black/red.
As for your question, I do believe that your gloves need broken in procedure. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and they are still a bit tight. Just keep using them and they will eventually feel real nice and un tight after breaking in. B4 you know it you will be able to open the palm easily.
Hit me up if you have any questions, I love these gloves and I woulnt go with any others, I just wished they had more colors.
thanks. I have the same color and they already feel awesome. Breaking them in turned out to be alot less of a problem than i thought it would. I also wanna add for anyone else looking at this review that the padding in the wrist area is insane and makes you feel like your hand from the forearm to the fist is protected
I have mine for a month now and I still havent break them in, then again I miss a week of going to the box gym because of work. So they still need some work
what do you use a glove like this for? i ordered some but am having second thoughts about using em on the bag. Do you use em for sparring only or do you hit the bag with them also? Would hitting the bag with them mess them up?
use them for both! the leather and padding are very durable. ive owned 2 pairs of grants and they never failed me, and ive put them through the ringer.
@Boxerkid93 Londsdale is very comfortable but the Grants are just a much better glove. Once you break them in, they are about as good as it gets. I think the 3 best gloves in the world are Winning, Grants and Reyes.
I want a pair of Grants so bad, I always heard there good gloves

@littlericky if you use them on the heavy bag, you might not want to spar with them. It will compress the padding. Depends who you're sparring though

@EBTerriers dude , you're a HWT. Doesnt matter what everyone else wears.
and wtf are u talking about ? u looked at a twins 14oz which is apparently bigger than other 16s (its not) so you decided on Reyes 14 . huh ?
do u know reyes are a punchers glove ? they're bad enough as 16s but 14 ?
whatever , do what u want .

is it possible to make a video review of the cleto reyes 16 oz sparing gloves? thx
klaus19912 1 year ago
@S4NCHO13 training gloves are bigger and have more padding so you don't hurt your sparring partner and fight gloves are smaller with less padding.

KingRichard93 2 years ago
@KingRichard93
Nah, thats lies man.
I've had mine for over 3 months now, using them 4 sparring and heavy bag and they are still excellent, look and smell brand new.
I had a bloody mess on them last time I sparred, but I just got a towel with some minimum water and cleaned them. They still look new!
If your not sure, just get Red or the black ones, because the whites one will get dirty.
Other than that, no the paint doesnt come out!
Enjoy and If you have more questions shoot them!
