It's funny, the 60's seemed more distant then in 1988 than it does now. Quite a feat considering in 1988, 1964 was as far away as 1985 is now! If we see footage of the Who or the Stones from that era now it's usually some rubust colour film footage with decent quality sound and all, you could actually imagine being there. Here they used ropey broadcast-quality black and white footage, sort of forcing nostalgia.
