To answer the question posed, I believe the plane she was on didn't stop in time and ran off the runway during a severe downpour and down the embankment on the other end. I remember seeing it on the news.
As a person who flies to Gibraltar regulary, I am used to crazy landings but this takes top spot as great airmanship but too close to that ridge for my liking great video

Yeah, I can't believe that they have houses so close to landing area. Rent should be real cheap.
