@7Zealot NOTHINGS Better than Urban Reign...Thats a very underated beat em up IMO. urban Reign is Extremely Fun especially when played with friends or family. And Urban Reign is a great party game(Best of all time)

I liked this game and played it for awhile. It is definentely a great game. This and Hogs Of War where constantly on when I first got them. Although I prefered playing as Tetsuo.

This game was pretty cool. I was hoping it would bring the beat em up genre back. The graphics (background) and music was good but there could/should have been more weapons and maneuverablity could have been better.
I played the hell out of this game, lots of replayability and unlocks. All night multiplayer matches with my buddies were the shit! Powering up to perform 50 hit combos, wiping the screen clear with an SMG, delivering a well placed soccer kick to a box as it glides across the arena into your friend and hilariously fall on their face and get blown up with their own TNT while you pick up a soda machine to drop on them. Weird and unique bosses!
do you remember a game where you had a team of creatures(aliens if I remember right), each one of them with a special ability, and you played in a chess like scenary? If my memory is correct, it was a turn based game, but when you encontered one of your enemys monster, you had to fight... I think you had to conquer "worlds", something like that..

@Scouter9001 Well all beat 'em ups suck when compared to SoR IMO, but just because you like one game better doesn't mean other games in the same genre aren't worth playing. They may not do it better than your favorite game in the genre, but as long as they put their own spin on the formula, and make it their own, they are still worth taking a look at.

It's not the greatest beat 'em up of all time, but it's fun (especially with two players), and also hase a fun four-player fighting game. Is it up on the level of Guardian heroes, no, but it's still fun and worth a look if you're into beat 'em ups.

The only thing missing in this game is the combos list really...but i guess u can find some Guides if u google it,overall the game was awesome so are the combos and other modes + music and gameplay + bosses and mini bosses,only downside is the graphics but thats understandable =]

Ah Gekido... I bought you on an impulse after liking an ad spread and because I had some nostalgia for the old 16bit brawlers and the Double Dragon days of 8bit. As it turned out you were a weird, demented little game that was actually worth every penny I spent on you. (Fighting Force was an okay game. It was entertaining, yes, and I own both, and Gekido is just more interesting, not that Fighting Force is without merit.)
@webdigo Fighting Force had some decent environmental interactivity, but overall is a merly average beat 'em up. It didn't fully and successfully bring the genre into 3D. It was even more limited in gameplay than 16-bit beat em ups. Gekido at least adds some nes ideas whereas FF was decent, but average.
@youngcnyce: Its a personal matter. I would take fighting force over gekido any day. I simply enjoyed fighting force way better than I did with gekido.

Yes, I turned it on, and some games have problems with fast loading. Texture smoothing may also cause some weird graphical glitches in some games, but doesn't effect the gameplay of the game. Fast loading does have problems in some games. In Chrono Cross it makes the game's cinemas skip.
Most games run both just fine, but fast loading is the one that gives most of the problems.
The "Guile" character in the Street Fighter III series. Teal hair, red pants, black jacket and shoes. Throws "sonic-boom"-like projectiles and has a double-legged flash kick.
Never heard of this one before--just added it to my wish list. Looks pretty awesome, and it seems that the developers got some nice licensed music for the game.
