@chronicdeist It won't ever be legal for many reasons...there's no convenient way to determine levels of intoxication on a traffic stop with pot like there is with alcohol (aka. breathalizers). Impossible to enforce marijuana DUI without a blood draw. Also, in my youthful days I went to Amsterdam and couldn't help but notice the wispers all over the place of "cocaine" and "extacy." When pot is legalized it's an open door for every other drug. It's not going to happen in your lifetime. HAHA!

HI im 19 and WELL I have ADD and also IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and i was wondering if i can get a MM card?? Every legalization initiative I've ever read has included the ability to grow your own. Unless you're a complete horticultural amateur, you will be able to grow highly potent cannabis.
I've purchased many "high grade" beers and tobacco products before. And have you ever heard of micro-breweries? They produce local beers that have a lot of character and flavor.

@jenn1ifer The same goes for smoking cigarettes, but that's still legal, even if there is no known medical use (as far as I know of, I should say). Some smoke when they are stressed, but surely there are other ways to deal with stress.

Several of my friends as well as I voted for you because we thought that you would legalize it, but like many other thing you said you would do and have not done, this issue on marijuana is really made us think that there is no change in your policy, just the same old stuff as always.

i totally agree man. i think he was too stoned to answer smartly plus he was on camera and people of his position can't just say anything. i think the thing put in his ear was a speaker of some sort and someone told him what to say so he didnt make himself look stupid. :D

Your an simple ass. The answer was simple, he just was gaurding his word to make sure they didn't come back to hunt him. Listen to it again...Obama said I would not prosecute you for medical marijana. Why because you can't get a comviction on it in states where it is legal.

but your acting like he gave a bad answer...your not asking a regular person a question and what he responds holds a great deal of responsibility...you see the fda is now persuing interest in the study of cannibis for medical use as of 2 mos ago...i have my card still and the raids have not been as much as they were in the last year of the bush administration here in california.

nice. and you might want to add that it is the safest natural medicine. 7 billion spent annually policing marijuana. roughly how much they'd be MAKING if it was legal. obama, you want to fix the economy? legalise it. open up a new market, you might want to start with bio-fuel. hemp-ethanol? joelaroint is on the right track. this plant is the solution to so many problems right now. peace.

BTW you shouldn't really talk about things you do not know.......A man already converted a gas motor ot run on hemp oil for about $300 in modifications about 10 years ago and drove from LA to New York and back with no problems.
