i think this is great idea for disco. think that ur every output gives 220V to (32*5) 160lamps. and there are different colour of lamps. dark room and song starts :D

I'm not sure if the PLC turned on a relay to play the music, but the lights are certainly automated by the PLC.

the PLC program has been done by simatic manager , which is the siemens PLC programming software... and the programming format will be ladder logic ....

how doest this works?

it are all output cards? and how does the sound comunicate wih the plc

or are it input cards , and the input go's high at some sounds;

I don't think that the PLC, I/O's comunicates with the sound :)

I think it's a program made for that specific rhytm, and the inputs are digital and they are controled by someone, who we don't see in the film...
