  • Hello, quick question: how good are the pure nickel strings? I use XL nickel wound strings but the plain steel strings eat my NS frets. I think that with nickel strings the nickel silver frets will live more. Why do you choose your strings? they sound more warm?

  • @tritonobionico

Yeah, I prefer the warmer sound. The past year I have used GHS 12-52 or D'Addario 12-54 (EJ-21). Both have a wound G-string.

  • would you be willing to sell this guitar ??

    please contact me back!

  • @heartsforanne

    Sorry, it´s not for sale.

  • Predictable chromatics

  • @ramindsr

...Probably because it's modes. Modal Jazz is based on using modes rather than chord harmonics for solos.

  • really magic tone....seems the one you can hear in famous recordings...

  • Do you have some treble rolled off to get that big mellow jazzbox tone? I assume the Hagsrom is more of an ES335 size judging by the video.

  • Youre right about the 335 size. Treble is somewhat rolled off but the "magic" is created when played through the Roland Jazz Chorus.

  • apart from great tone, really nice playing and all that stuff.. are you downpicking only?!

  • Thanks for the kind comments.

To your question: no; pick goes both directions.

  • What a smooth sound. Love it.
