Really? Electronics have been incorporated into acoustic setups for years. Alex Van Halen, Neil Peart etc. All professionals, just listen to some of the records and check out live videos. Proof. The 5150 album Alex Van Halen uses Simmons pads for toms and he also used them live as well as triggers on acoustics live video shows it on youtube and it's dope.
Can any snare drum stand hold this thing, im going to get one of these but none come with a stand so i want to make sure any snare stand will hold it.
I guess that the pedals that come with the drum set are not the ones I see in this video. Can I buy apart other pedals and attach them to the drum? how much does it cost doing that?
I did not know you could use the support that is used for the snare drum to support the dd55 ... excellent! is much more convenient than that Yamaha recommends, which is cumbersome and not fold ...
also ... which pad do you use for the bass drum ? i would like to buy something like that ... :)
What the fuck is up with all of these people hating on electronic drums? They are not meant to replace acoustics or anything. They are mostly just for portability and messing around on. Not for performing. So will everyone just shut the hell up?
@halo45121 Exactly. I would love these just to muck about on and get rid of all my frustration and anger and anxiety on them. Awesome bit of kit....no surprise coming from Yamaha.
a song would be nice... but that was great! I am getting this soon, but it doesnt come with a double bass pedal... so can you tell me how you got it cuz im a metal kind of person, and its a little hard to play Metallica and Slipknot with only 1 bass pedal
tnx man, before i was using my dd55s pedals but the feel was really different of course, so i bought this kick trigger pad kd8 roland so i can use a real pedal ,the feel is fairly the same like ur playing on a bass drum
hi there. Rody from the philippines. ur sound's so awesome. anyway, could you share with us proud owners what's your custom setting is? and how much did you purchase your Trigger pad...a must for drummers. I'm not really a drummer but with the dd55c...i could become one in the future. thanks. more power
howd you connect the pedal? did you use the dd55's pedal or a separate one? cause i dont like the pedals feel, it would would be better using a real one like yours
sounds like a Machinegun?

K sure ur good at it, but ur not actually drumming!! Ur hitting electronic pads with drumsticks, theres a huge difference
94east 1 year ago
@94east Your quite stupid... Drumming is technically making a percussive sound... Meaning hitting trashcans with drum sticks is still drumming...

I had some electric drums like that hated'em. mainly cause they weren't the real thing. compared to real thing theres a giant gap of greatness.

do the pads have good bounce for rolls
taylord135 2 years ago
not really.
reallybored32 2 years ago
does it feel like a practice pad?
taylord135 2 years ago
yea, basically. its like when you play the electronic drums without mesh pads. just plain rubber.
reallybored32 2 years ago
not bad, so you can still do like decent double stroke rolls.
