very good vid. lots of useful stuff that can save your life. who cares where the moves are from as long as they work. saying this is aikido thats whing chun is pointless. it works or it doesn't. this works.
I could tell by watching this, he trained in bujinkan and some chinese martial arts.. lol ... I'm not impressed with krav maga, but russian systema is impressive & unique.
Bodyguard Techniques my ass. lol. This is self defense, there is nothing, Bodyguard about this, unless my stupid ass is taking this out of context as in Bodyguard { Body Guard your body,} as apposed to Bodyguard -Executive Protection. Ahh, im rambling on, kool vid.
This is all great but where is the defense against the real shooter that is say 20 feet from you? What is more is NO ONE wins an edged weapon encounter and no real knife man will let you see it coming, I wouldn't you'd just be standing there "for a short time " looking at your guts spilling out on to the floor and blood spurting out of an artery in your neck. See surviving edged weapons by Dan Inosanto. Try it with sidewalk chalk rather than sharpies it washes off.Peace
It's nice to see that more and more people are moving away from the artistic martial art forms (tai chi, tae kwon do) and more to the practical forms - soko, krav maga, etc
if I were to ever pull a pistol on anyone, I wouldn't jab it in their face like they always do in all of these videos, I would stand atleast 6 feet back so if they tried any movement whatsoever, bang bang. I hate seeing them take guns away from people, it's not that simple. Someone might see this though, practice the move and get himself killed in real life.
I hear you, but in my city all the thugs think they are Easy E and jam guns in peoples faces all the time. That, or they run away shooting, spraying bullets all over everything. What you don't hear in these videos is that usually instructors say "if a guy pulls a gun on you from 6 feet, do what he says or run". Running is excellent, as most thugs don't practice gun skills and can't hit the broadside of a barn anyway, let alone a sprinting person.
It was just a thought I always have when watching these, they make it seem so simple when it's not. A bad guy with a gun in any situation is bad news for everyone. I've trained for a long time with gun disarms and If I ever see a guy pull a gun on me he's getting my wallet and whatever else, and when I can run I will. The biggest thing really is just having a polite attitude and being able to see a situation before it becomes one. Thats just my opinion though.
Amen. No disrespect to the art or this sensai, but this video kind of makes it look like attackers run straight at you after eating a bunch of valiums. Have you ever worked handgun take aways with unloaded, charged airsofts? It's great because you know if you would've gotten hit. Also, it's fun to train edged weapons with red sharpies coz you can see where you took a cut. Usually, both of you will end up covered in red ink! I agree, polite attitudes and speed are excellent self defense!
Yes actually I have done the airsoft gun disarms, there is a few videos of people doing that online and I picked it up from that, it's a great idea. I always think that martial arts gives off the wrong vibe with so much MMA interest. Everyone thinks it's about being tough and being able to handle yourself all the time. To me, martial arts is about bettering yourself and living a peaceful life, learning how to avoid bad situations. Everyone has there own idea though, to each his own.
i think this is great and very impressive. I still think thatthe attacks should be vicious just like real life and then the techniques applied to stop them
I have studied many combative arts and been in security for over 15 years. This man looks VERY dangerous in my opinion. He is ELITE. No wasted movement, time or space in his techniques. This is evolution. Very impressive style.
With all due respect ... fuck you and your arrogant name calling attitude .... I didn't read the description box, just stated my opinion from what I've learned in my meagre 20 years of martial arts. I liked what was on there but was simply stating the similarity to aiki-jutsu. Wanna throw names about then by all means do so it only makes you look a cunt. I wont do anything to make you look worse, you seem well equipped to do that for yourself
I'd like to mention that I'm neither trying to impress you nor am I narrow minded in my view of the martial arts. I did not try to degrade this, I mentioned a similarity. In my 20 years of experience I have studied several arts ranging from lau gar to aikido and have reaped benefits from them all. Your agressiveness makes me want to puke. You have a preconceived idea of anyone who isn't you and perpetuate it through shouting and name calling
The knives and gun techniques are Idealised/dreamland. Not many people are stationary in those situations. I have a quote "Leave your arm out for Neo"... yes I am refering to Neo from the Matrix, why would you unless you wanted your a** kicked, I give the music a higher rating than the art.
continued. I would like to add that many styles stem from aikijutsu due to it being the OLDEST of japanese unarmed martial arts, the forerunner of many styles inluding judo, ju-jutsu and nin-jutsu. Personally I would learn a philosophy based martial art if I were you, maybe gain a little humility. I see things in omparison to what I have already learned and taught, you seem to view things as being aimed against you personally, be a man and admit you don't know everything
read before you comment. I said aikijutsu. Aikijutsu was the original unarmed method of fighting for the samurai, originally it didn't even have a name as it was taught in the various sword schools. It was later given the name aiki-jutsu when it started being taught seperately. Taught to personal guards of eah daimyo it allowed them to defend him without drawing their sword in his presence.
Oh and just for shits and giggles I can name each and every one of these tehniques in japanese as I have learned these techniques in aikido and aikijutsu. Now try to tell me that I am narrow minded in my martial attitude, the techniques are part of the fucking syllabus. The entries are slightly different but techniques are the same the world over. The best thing that you could add to this conversation is silence as you appear to have little to say but shout it anyway
With all my respect, some of those techniques you don't learn in Aikido. Maybe in Aikijujutsu, since I don't know anything about it, bro. I'm a Brazilian living in Japan and I practice Aikido and Brazilian Jujutsu. It seems to me that this sensei combines a lot of techniques from several martial arts, which is good! Remember what master Bruce Lee said: "never be restricted to one style! Be water, my friend!"
..the only issue is that he is not being attacked as he would in real life, so some of his explosiveness will not be as such, BUT that doesn't take away from his obvious training and skills.
he cannot have this much control and not injure if they attacked like they would in real life.
the response will only be as hard as the attack and that can cause serious injury. a solid 'first shock' is what really stops an aggressor in reality.
shit man where does this guy train? he's shit hot!! i still hurt from aikido............. such a wide mixture of different martial arts in this vid. very good :-)
Some of these techniques could be effective, However, he appears to be overly confident. And his opponents aren't really attacking, but those are the Pros and Cons of Martial Arts. Real fighting is Unpredictable.
ujedno njegova pozicija tijela govori mnogo vise nego njegovi potezi on nema :
Kako sve ovo treba sto on pokusava molim vas pogledajte : Grand Mastera Sensei Vracarevic
The point of MA is so you CAN take on someone who is bigger than you. Not much point if you can only use stuff on people your own size. That makes a lot sense.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Nice tricks, but he is still pretty small and light guy to take on anyone in hand-to-hand... There is a reason know why martial arts have weight classes, Sugar Ray Leonard would have been murdered by pro heavy weight boxers etc. But anyway, nice tricks... They can save your life, I'm sure
if you know anything about combat- you should know that size in almost every case succumbs to skill. any benefit to being bigger is almost completely erased when weapons are involved- and in many cases they are.
I must disagree with part of your statement. If the larger combatant is skilled enough to compensate for his lack of skill and use weight.strength to make up the rest the more skilled opponent can be beaten. However, I must agree that weapons are an equalizer.
Reach is certainly an advantage with weapons (or any strike), but I'm tall and I also lose balance easily. Strength makes it a little easier to take a few more srikes (not to the head, groin, etc. obviously) but anyone who's ever fought a 5-5" 125# kalista will let you know it's a very bad idea. Accept your body type and train train train! Train with people of all shapes and sizes and both genders, as women think differently than men and can still be quite dangerous!
There is good technique and it has the ingredients of a good system. There is no doubt about this guy's ability. However, the attacks in some places are too compliant and lacking in primal reaction. The yardstick for any reality-based system is looking at ambush attacks with mutliple assailants and unarmed against straight, edged, flexible weapons and firearm. Also the determination of an attacker in a live situation is so intense that mid-level, high-level kicks sap too much energy.
uu grujo zmaje, pre neki dan sam saznao da ima ovih klipova na youtube sajtu.... zimi sve sad si me opet napalio da treniram :D imam ja to sve lepo zapisano u kompjuteru, dva stepena, pola treceg i jedan seminar.... moracu da uzmem da se podsetim... stvarno si prejak moj si fu master :D
I don't care what's styles he using, I like their effect and realization. for most bodyguards, the final purpose is control even if destroy someone in the cause of VIP(very important person)safety..keep going on uploading...^|^...thanks
This has to be the most complete martial art soko combat system, it has all its bases covered from all situations either it be disarming a gun or knife and to using it in a office envoirment, its fair to say that this fighting system has all its bases covered, good job.
Some of the best fighting systems are created by drafting modes from other styles whats important to remember is what ever it is that do will work as long as the movement cannot be predicted
amazing

Anything will work when the uke is moving at 80% speed. You could "defend" yourself using ballet if you wanted to.
Gear up and go 100% speed to see what really works - and don't tell the uke how he is "supposed" to attack!
Cool moves, though.
swordofmanjushri 1 year ago
@swordofmanjushri I was thinking the same thing.
Also, the angles of attack are so off as to make them unnatural. The long stick attacks show what I mean quite obviously.

Very good. That's what I call aggressive office negotiations.

..the only issue is that he is not being attacked as he would in real life, so some of his explosiveness will not be as such, BUT that doesn't take away from his obvious training and skills.
RedSpider23 2 years ago
he cannot have this much control and not injure if they attacked like they would in real life.
the response will only be as hard as the attack and that can cause serious injury. a solid 'first shock' is what really stops an aggressor in reality.

Lendületes, és ezzel együtt meggyőző is! Nagyon letisztult és hatékony is! Csak arra koncentrál, ami használható a harcban.

I like the offline, Palm Strike/Smothering techniques. Similiar to Combative Taichi and certain Aikido styles.

Some of these techniques could be effective, However, he appears to be overly confident. And his opponents aren't really attacking, but those are the Pros and Cons of Martial Arts. Real fighting is Unpredictable.

zx14Busa 3 years ago
ujedno njegova pozicija tijela govori mnogo vise nego njegovi potezi on nema :
Kako sve ovo treba sto on pokusava molim vas pogledajte : Grand Mastera Sensei Vracarevic
zx14Busa 3 years ago
Ki? Vracarevic?
SENSEIJOCIC 3 years ago

The point of MA is so you CAN take on someone who is bigger than you. Not much point if you can only use stuff on people your own size. That makes a lot sense.

This is very simalar to what I take a combination of kung fu,(wing chun mainly) jeet kune do, and COMBAT aikido. This guy kicks ASS

Sutemi 3 years ago
MArtial arts don't have weight classes, martial sports do.
DanielSan108 3 years ago
Thank you for pointing that out
Sutemi 3 years ago
if you know anything about combat- you should know that size in almost every case succumbs to skill. any benefit to being bigger is almost completely erased when weapons are involved- and in many cases they are.
XIPM3 2 years ago
I must disagree with part of your statement. If the larger combatant is skilled enough to compensate for his lack of skill and use weight.strength to make up the rest the more skilled opponent can be beaten. However, I must agree that weapons are an equalizer.
airish571 2 years ago

Huangshen 3 years ago
looks more effective than a gun or taser!
