  • Jalapeno? In chimichurri?....that's not "traditional" Argentine chimichurri. Sorry dude,no way.

  • People are saying no Jalapenos for the Aji, and that makes sense. Argos don't grow Jalapeno. But the thing I notice is that all over the country, you won't have Chimichurri with olive oil in it! They use oil with little/no flavor, like safflower oil.

  • In Argentina very few people know what jalapeño peppers are; maybe those who have visited some Mexican restaurant, or who have traveled to Mexico or the US. As chimichurri sauce has been around since who knows when, it definitely does not have jalapeño peppers.

  • In Russia we call it " chimichurriski"

  • Forget the food. Tyler is a cutie pie!

  • I had the pleasure of going to argentina for 3 months(Buenos, Aires), and had steak at multiple resturants,(The Alliance) -was my fav of all because it was a walk down the block from where I worked at. Small time atmosphere with amazing "Lomo" and of course chimichurri, Ever since I tasted it myself , ive spread the word. If any steak house in the US adopts the use of chimichurri it would set them apart from all the rest for sure.

  • In Argentina we don't use Jalapaños or lime juice in our chimichurri and only salt to the meat like 1 hour before putting the on the grill

  • Correct, there's no jalapeños in chimichurri, but depending on which region youre from or visiting, the chimichurri will have some aji for heat. As long as the chimichurri has the basic ingredients, you can make certain variations.

  • No Way!!! Don't call this a Chimichurri, just call it "a chimichurri look-a-like" Never, under no circumstance use jalapenos and no lime juice, NOO!

Oh, and the steak, never salt it before cooking it, wait till just before you take it our of the BBQ. Now that's the real difference!

  • WTF??? man they are wayyyyyy offf

  • The meat is called "entraña". Chimichurri does not have jalapenos, but it is a fair variation. The basic ingredients are parsley, garlic, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. Depending on what part of Argentina you are, they put more vinegar than oil. Then you may add a pinch of oregano and crushed red pepper. In the province of Cordoba, I had it with chopped tomatos and chopped onions.

  • i prefer fully cooked meat.

i dont want no blood juice.

  • well me too i like it well done

  • In Argentina most people like it "juice"

  • Medium or medium rare is very common in the States too, not blood juice. Just ask in the best restaurants.

  • There is no jalapenos in chimichurri.

  • ohhh that's how you cut it!!!!
