  • the vertical movement.. is called cobra if i am not mistaken.. the rest is just good thrust/wheight ratio... if an a/c can climb verticaly withoyt loosing speed it has more thrust than wheight.. f-16's do so too..

  • Thrust vectoring... Macross plus style.

  • Every single plane can do this. Just ascend vertically. Its called stalling people.

  • Too bad he cuts the video right when the plane takes off for its most impressive manuver, the unrestriced vertical climb.

It's how fast you can take off, pull up and head straight up to 50,000 ft with full afterburners that worries the enemy. That's the benchmark indicator of a fighter/interceptor' performace.

  • @HerculesRockefellerr It is not up to the united states. It is up to lockheed if they want to sell. I herd this from a Japanese JSDF report that they bought the last fifty that the us would not buy so the JSDF jumped on the deal. They all ready have them cause they did a live fire exercise with them too. Plus the us has been selling old ships to the JSDF that they are modernizing to out preform our new destroyers. The us and Japan are on really good terms.....

  • You know how people used to talk about how UFO's flew years ago? Well, they were right...Just wasn't aliens.

  • america just took a dump on logic

  • Imagine you were a taliban at 0:55 and you heard that thing roaring above your head. I would pee myself knowing it's going to drop a bomb on you any second *shutters*

  • reminds me of a seagull...

  • Впервые вижу на что способен F-22, и могу вас уверить впечатлило, лётчик мастерски управляет своей машиной, а звук просто музыка.

  • not just f22 that can do this

  • @lUnseenSniperl -"not just f22 that can do this"

With full tanks and a combat load, YES, it's the only one that can.

  • Dear god, I want one

  • they see me floatin' - they hatin'

  • My top 3 favorite planes. F-22, A-10, and the Concorde. This pilot is able to achieve this in this plane because of the engines, it literally has flaps for the engines that directs the trust for better turning and climbing capabilities.

  • Was the pilot doing a descending tail stand there around .37??? I'm impressed!

  • Wow. Way to jack around with $250M, lol! I think I see dollars coming out of the tailpipe.

  • @AgentDuke007 It's expensive, but we needed a new plane... The F15 is going to be highly competitive with other planes, which hasn't happened before... usually the F15 just has dominated the air in the past... The more we make the cheaper they will be as well.

  • Imagine seeing this back in stone age, i'd put down my sticks and stones, head back to the cave and have a go on my woman! Engineering, F@ck Yeah!

  • "plain"

  • Best playin in the world without a doubt! Sweden!

  • T-50 better....

  • too bad the f22's have been grounded. but im not all that sad about it, it might allow the f23's to make a comeback. from what i know they're better than f22's but the 22's were chosen because they cost less than the 23's.

  • @warhawk9566 -"too bad the f22's have been grounded"

That "grounding" was lifted last October.

-"it might allow the f23's to make a comeback"

    You're joking, right??

-"but the 22's were chosen because they cost less than the 23's"

The F-22 was chosen because as an overall weapons system, it was the better choice.

  • @em745aa ive never paid attention to news that much. if it was lifted i wouldnt know but last time i checked which was last week it said they were still grounded. maybe it was bad info. the f23's were a good aircraft and the f22's equal if not superior in every way. it is even said the 22 was chosen because it cost alot less than a 23.

  • @warhawk9566 -"f23's were a good aircraft and the f22's equal if not superior"

-LockMart had a better record with the USAF with regards to cost and delivering on schedule (e.g. F-117), compared to Northrop's less enviable record with the B-2.

-The 22 had better subsonic maneuverability than the 23 (i.e. it was a better dogfighter).

-During the flyoff, the 22 was able to fire missiles, something the YF-23 was not able to do at the time. (First impressions count!)

  • -There were concerns over the 23's exhaust's heat tiles, which would've required extra maintenance (and thus longer turn-around times) after each flight.

-The 23's tail layout also drew concerns with regards to damage/redundancy; its yaw/pitch surfaces are limited to the 2 ruddervators, whereas the 22's yaw & pitch are controlled by the 2 stabs + 2 canted rudders + 2 TVC.

  • -Whatever advantages the 23 may have had over the _YF_-22 are no longer be relevant vis-à-vis the current F-22, which is a significantly improved/altered airframe compared to the YF.

-Related to the above point, the F-22 has benefited from BOTH YF programs. The 23's chief test pilot, Paul Metz, was eventually assigned to the F-22 program. Northrop-Grumman makes the F-22's radar, and Boeing (which bought McDonnell Douglas in '97) shares a third of the F-22 contract.

  • This plane is so beautiful. Its perfect. If it was a girl i would marry it.

  • thats one crazy mo fucker

  • How the plane turned on 1:02 to 1:05 was also awesome. I can't believe people compare this plane to the Rafale. Obama should order more of these babies. $50 Billion of the $700 Billion should have gone to this plane that way LM emps all over US got some more money. It would have wounded up in the pockets of the bankers anyways.

  • WOW...the best part was at 38 sec when he goes up and then Stop and slowly comes down nose UP not Down. Imagine if it was a Dogfight and you were chasing this plane and then climbs then stops and you cant. all of the Sudden he's behind you and then you're the one being hunted WOW....

  • i mean how can a bitch tell me aerospace engineering is boring. so i signed the devorce papers

  • It's certainly not gravity defying. The flight controls have been deliberately inhibited to prevent it pulling even more spectacular manoeuvres and plastering the pilots lungs on the canopy.

  • That thing is too fragile to be seen in real combat...too complex and way too expensive...if you check the results of PACAFs Pacific Vision on sept 25/08...

  • Yeah I know I was being sarcastic if you couldn't tell btw.

  • Yeah f-35 not in any way at all an f-22 duh

  • @rccardude2331 Its an F-22 because of the dual engines on the back. 35's only have a single rounded one

  • Gravity is a highly over rated phenomenon in my opinion.

  • F22s are garbage. SU Pak Fa has way better thrust vectoring system, F 22s are too expensive and they have problem with oxygen circulation in the cockpit.

  • @Warrantofficer13 -"F22s are garbage"

The SU(CK) PAK FART is little more than a reskinned Flanker.

-"SU Pak Fa has way better thrust vectoring system"

Isn't the PAK FART's TVC 2D as well?

    -"F 22s are too expensive"

You get what you pay for.

Russian junk is cheap because it's JUNK.

-"and they have problem with oxygen circulation in the cockpit"

How many Flankers and Fulcrums have crashed over the years? How many times have THEY been grounded?

    Thanks for playing! :)

  • @em745aa Oh you americans always talking shit about russians and their equipment....

  • @em745aa Check out the super flanker and su 30 Flanker C, far less maintenance than trashy f 22 and f35. You guys had pilots almost black out while flying the f22 at high altitude because of problems in oxygen feed, they have been grounded 3 times. It freaking rains and the f22 gets glitchy. Go back to flying f 18s and F15Es

  • @Warrantofficer13 -"Check out the super flanker"

Super Flanker=Super JUNK! :) Seriously, just the MTBO on the engines alone is a joke.

-"You guys had pilots almost black out while flying the f22"

It beats crashing into the ground due to JUNK Russian FLCS. :)

And for the record, they have yet to pinpoint any cause relating to last year's crash in Alaska.

-"It freaking rains and the f22 gets glitchy"

    watch?v=Htd6hJwisZ0 (1:06 - 1:58)

    watch?v=Jw2W_XlWkmQ

  • Japan is buying the last 42 F-22A's from lockheed because United States cancelled the contract. LETS go JSDF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ChevyCorvetteBoy Bs, F22 is not in export market.

  • @ChevyCorvetteBoy You're thinking of the F-35. Japan cant buy the F-22 because the US wont sell them to anyone by act of Congress.

  • He stalled it, you can do it in a cessna you just can do it while pulling 7g's lol

  • @WickedVids4u F-22's have thrust vectoring capability - you can see the mechanism at the tail end of the aircraft that shifts the thrust to allow it do such extreme maneuvers. Its the same technology that allows the Harrier to to vertical takeoffs and landings. The Russian Sukoi fighters do it too.

  • mommy can u plz get new undies and pants because these r destroyed with this in hear oh wait i mean now down on the ground

  • I don't know why we are not buying F22 for Canada, instead of F35???

    Anyone?

  • @danielarian

Because we don't export the Raptor in any form. There are 187 of them (minus one I think from the training crash in Alaska) and they're all in the US Air Force. Production was stopped in December, and the factories that build them were retooled to build F35's, which makes the construction of Raptors in the future highly unlikely as the setup cost for the production facilities is absolutely enormous.

  • @eumyin Thanks very much for the info. I had no idea about these details. I personally love F22. But I think F35 will do the job.

    Have a great time.

  • 171 people tried this in other planes and failed epically.

  • god made the craft himself!

  • @ilikethemcars226

    Your right ... i did :D

  • Sure. At least one of the MIGs can come to a complete standstill (for a limited period...).

Nevertheless, it takes some awesome piloting skills to push this craft through these envelopes and still maintain faster than stall speed. Loitering is a incorporated tactic in modern flight navigation. It's all about flight dynamics... as I'm sure you all know...

  • @kjslfkjslfjaslkfjsf -"Nevertheless, it takes some awesome piloting skills to push this craft through these envelopes and still maintain faster than stall speed."

Not to dismiss pilot skill, but in this case I'd rather give the lion's share of the credit to the eggheads who wrote the FLCS's software... and I'm sure most, if not all F-22 pilots would agree.

  • 3 of these = 1 billion dollar!!!

    And that's just initial cost!

  • too bad the f22 doesnt have the a10s 40 mm Gatling gun

  • @TheDestructocon -"too bad the f22 doesnt have the a10s 40 mm Gatling gun"

    First off, it's a 30mm, not 40mm.

2nd, where would you put it? One F-22 pilot (Max Moga) once said in an interview that as it is now, there's very little free space left inside the F-22's airframe. Every nook and cranny is used up for something.

The A-10's entire gun system, including the ammo drum, is about the size and weight of a compact car.

    Do the math.

  • @em745aa just a suggestion. thatd be hella tight tho for the f-22 having the a10s 30 mm gatling gun.

  • Airspeed for altitude, altitude for airspeed. Big Deal ?

  • 169 Russians watched this great video.

  • that's the equivalent of doing donuts in the parking lot with your car :P

  • Yes , indeed the Raptor is one bad ass plane , and i'm in awe of its abilities etc .

Its just too bad that we could not spend those millions of dollars of R&D on cancer research instead of a war tool .

  • migs are no comparison f-22 raptor migs are out dated iraq invasion proved that when f-18 hornets owned them and iraq pilot were exspeirenced in combat a still lost us has very good training programs tho but still if you think evan for a second that migs compare to f-22 your an idiot

  • Don't all planes defy gravity ?

  • Don't all planes defy gravity ?

  • ppl get all happy in there pants about the f22 when the mig and sukhois are better planes, cost less and can do all the tricks the raptor can do.

  • *watching the jet take off casually* 1 second later"oh fuck!!"

  • its not defining gravity its thrust vectrum makes it do that

  • So I imagine f22 pilots rank up as like the top ten people who get the most pussy on the planet. RIght?

  • @robertpicklesnickle Nah, they'd have to get out of the plane for that.... The plane is more fun.. :D

  • i swear thats called thrust vectoring

  • "F22 RAPTOR DEFIES GRAVITY " I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

  • When you have an approximated 1 to 1 thrust to weight ratio you can be defiant of physics and gravity.

  • 0:32 flaming f22

  • This plane is a bitch for repairs lol composites suck.

  • one your really don't know the f-22 it a awsome fighter and it easy to fly the Su is nowhere really for this plane long as the pilot in f-22 is a pro that jet is the best SU best wouldn't be able to beat the best pilot in the world..

  • please please can i get 1 for my birthday happy face :D

  • the things you can do with this plane are amazing, shame it's world-class tech is only for miltary use:(

  • This is the best jet fighter in the world!

  • 1:05 how does it not fall down?

  • @13lackLight the avionics make sure the jet does not stall out, plus it got trust vectoring

  • love the three planes flying together in the end. must have been painful for the pilot of the sabre to fly that slow and the f22 pilot probably fell asleep :P

  • the f-22 does mach 2 when its standing still

  • @XxboaredofbordemxX The mig-25 can do like mach 3 and hit an altitude of 85 000 feet, imagine if the russians just made that and put some long range heat seeking missile on them.

  • @omega4chimp -"The mig-25 can do like mach 3"

Only if you make it a one-way trip.

Service Foxbats were limited to Mach 2.8, and even THAT was a stretch. 2.5 was typically the max. speed during intercepts.

-"and hit an altitude of 85 000 feet"

Most turbojet or ultra-low-BPR engine jets (even old F-4's) can easily fly above 70k.

Service altitude limits are there because of Armstrong's line (Google that).

  • @em745aa i dont htink f-4 can fly 70 000 feet dude.

  • @omega4chimp -"i dont htink f-4 can fly 70 000 feet dude."

    Google: F-4 ALTITUDE RECORDS

    (You're in for a shock.)

Again, any jet fighter with very low BPR turbofans or straight up turbojets can fly well above 60k, no problems (regular turbofans don't do well in low-oxygen atmosphere). The limiting factor is the need for the pilot to wear a pressure suit (basically an astronaut's outfit).

  • @em745aa I reasearched the f-22 and it can only go 65 000 ft.

  • @omega4chimp -"I reasearched the f-22 and it? can only go 65 000 ft."

Reading and comprehension a problem for you??

    What did I just say?

The main limiting factor that prevents these jets from operating at higher altitudes is the fact that pilots don't wear pressure suits.

  • @omega4chimp thats the recommended cieling yes. The SU 35's is 59 thoousand.

  • no its called thrust vectoring dickhead

  • This aircraft is a waste of money. Piloted aircraft are obsolete. We must be using a Russian pilot to test our jets.

  • @benjaminnetanyahoo -"Piloted aircraft are obsolete."

Great... Another pinhead who thinks the days of Skynet are upon us.

  • If aliens ever show up they are the ones that will think we are aliens

  • Thats not defying gravity thats power to weight ratio and a great pilot LOL

  • it takes a 350 millon dlls 5 gen. plane to do the moves of of 60 - 70 millon dlls 4++ gen. planes, thats impresive. (im going to get lots of insults because it sounds ugly, but true.)

  • @impresor37 -"it takes a 350 millon dlls 5 gen. plane"

    $150M

-"to do the moves of of 60 - 70 millon dlls 4++ gen. plane"

Some 4+ fighters have flyaway costs of $100M+ (Eurofrauder, Rafale, F-15E/K/SG).

I've to see any of these 4th gen's pull a 12.8G turn like the one seen here at 3:48:

    watch?v=pB2xjexTqqQ

-"im going to get lots of insults because it sounds ugly, but true."

I'm calling you an ignorant moron because you're an ignorant moron (it sounds ugly, but true).

  • @em745aa i mean russian planes, flankers, im not ignorant and more i will not insult you as you did, raptor only has 2 advantages over latest flankers the stealth and the radar something that not going to last. 350 m. adding development cost, some analist put it up to 412 m. adding all the fixes so far because enters service before it was ready same happening with the f-35 but is much worse. 187-2 raptors are not enough, you will see it soon your insults will not change that fact sorry.

  • @impresor37 -"i mean russian planes"

    You mean russian *JUNK*!

You get what you pay for.

-"raptor only has 2 advantages over latest flankers the stealth and the radar"

Oh, there's more to that list, my ignorant, moronic friend:

AN/ALR-94, supercruise, and actual COMBAT-RELEVANT agility such as sustained turn rate, combat-loaded G limits, and combat-loaded T/W.

    -"350 m. adding development cost"

A figure that's totally dependent on procurement numbers and is therefore irrelevant.

  • @em745aa doesnt have helmet mounted sight, doesnt have IRST , f-22 has 2D tvc engines vs flankers 3d tvc engines, and the expensive fixes raise cost up to 412 millon dlls each not 350 since no more will be built, and worse your country doesnt have money to build more due to their astronomical debt 187 will not be enough for your future wars again the latest russian "JUNK" I hope they dont do more wars or they get ruined and both sides keep their toys for airshows.

  • @impresor37 -"doesnt have helmet mounted sight, doesnt have IRST"

The F-22 has won most WVR engagements against Western adversaries with HMS/HOBS/IRST.

-"f-22 has 2D tvc engines vs flankers 3d tvc engines"

    1. 3D TVC is virtually incompatible with stealth

    2. F-22's TVC max deflection is 20° vs. the Flanker's 15°

    3. 3D is more complex and maintenance-intensive than 2D

  • -"and the expensive fixes raise cost up to 412 millon dlls each not 350 since no more will be built"

    1. Each new one that would be built would cost $150M, you jackass!

    2. Current late block F-15's are more than capable of handling any Flanker variant

    3. I SERIOUSLY doubt mother Russia will have the rubles to buy 187 PAK-FA's

-"its my final reply no more comments"

Good, so no more bullshit from you! :)

  • @em745aa forget it if they are used in your next war (maybe iran) doesnt matter it will be a pirric victory, forget it you use it = you go to bankrupcy, we all lose, its poinless to argue about this. its my final reply no more comments you ll get from me no matter what you say.

  • @em745aa So im not arguing with you , im not gonna just bust in on two guys experting it up at eachother on the internet ( amazing how many experts there are here eh?)

Just curious as to where you got the 12.8 G number I watched the video, it looks like a pretty hardcore turn but i want to know how you know the exact G load. Where are you getting your info? It wasnt on that video.

  • @Antifaith29 -"Just curious as to where you got the 12.8 G number I watched the video"

    The "source" video:

    watch?v=bgaOrCYb7b0

Check "all comments" for jjs4you2's comments on the matter.

    10+ G maneuvers aren't that big a deal nowadays.

  • 0:20 damn teleportation

  • goddamn Decepticons

  • Waste of American Taxes..

  • Eargasm

  • 2:19-2:34 was cool

  • 1. mute the video

    2. open a separate tab

    3. go to watch?v=zCTJmXrgsFg

    4. turn back to this video.

    5. enjoy! (⌐■_■)

  • @EaglEye219 You sir are awesome.

  • @TheJrz09 Thank you, thank you, I try.

  • @EaglEye219 I'm going to open that video, but before I do, I'm going to assume that it is "Danger Zone"

  • @FALCO64125 Haha, I thought about it, but no, the the main theme song seemed to fit better lol!

  • @EaglEye219 Damn, it was the other Top Gun song...

  • oh raptor, thats not how a jet behaves !! ..silly jet thinks it is a chopper^^

  • at :21 i think the video is cut. it might have defied gravity though

  • I defy gravity every time I jump...

  • GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG's

  • not really defying gravity

  • this is what these planes are designed for, it is impressive, but I would hardly call it surprising

  • dam thats a lot of Gs

  • he/she is using the F-22s unique capability of cross vectoring

  • @Animus136 Hahaha it's Youtube dude... you don't have to be politically correct. It's most likely a he.

  • Sure just looks like some stalls. Showing off a little dog fighting maneuvers.

  • @minervas1000 And be completely unrealistic and erroneously corny

  • world best !!!!!!!

  • Go 350 million dollar baby go, defy gravity go to space and never come back

  • 1:10 Who the FACK was the camera man... God?

  • what, an aircraft that defies gravity?????

  • This plane is straight up just Bad Ass

  • @speeder741 Apparently it can do MUCH more than advertised, but the pilot is the limiting factor because they tend to black out at high speeds/high speed maneuvering. Its too bad Obama gave away all of its secrets to the chinese :(

  • @cameltoejoe69 only reason he did that is because the americans have much more impressive things in development, i don't know what they are doing know but it stands to reason they will keep the best tech for themselves

  • @Graham987654 Actually that isnt true. If you followed the news back in 2009, RIGHT after China agreed to continue buying our bonds (buying our debt aka loaning us money) Obama announced that his administration was no longer going to defend against cyberattacks from China. Sometime after that (can't remember when) we suffered a cyberattack on our battle network that originated from china and several military secrets were leaked. Fastforward to Summer of 2010 and the chinese unveiled

  • @Graham987654 a new stealth fighterjet that looks EXACTLY like a F22 Raptor with a black paintjob and allegedly has ALLL of its stealth capabilities. There was no mention that we handed the technology over because it was obsolete. In fact, when Obama decided against further purchases of the F22 it was because the plane was too advanced and the technology was not required against traditional foes (like those in the middle east who use outdated soviet fighters from the 70's).

  • this airport is by my house, i hate them when they do this, All the windows in the house shake.

  • @TheTwinturbo300zx cool wanna trade houses? mine is too quiet

  • love the flying formation with F-22, P-51 and F-86 at the end.

  • Incredible what you can do with thrust vectoring. :D

  • ...........and now in the news at 9, a man at an Air show flies his Multiplex easy star foam plane into a squadron consisting of a P-51, F-22, and a Mig-9 destroying them all except the easy star, which only required some hot glue and duct tape to repair.

  • sonic boom?

  • really good pilot <3

  • and that ladies and gentleman is how you get a bogey to fly past you.

  • I don't always get shot at, but when I do, I like to hover in mid air like a dead duck.

  • This would be even more great, if it would be HD!

  • Gravity is for weak

  • The Raptor has a thrust to weight ratio greater then 1:1. so long as it has gas, it can do ANYTHING.

  • JS2 take off

  • I was thinking to buy one!! but....

  • i think, its time for Hollywood industry to make a new series of Top Gun Movie

  • @minervas1000 Yewah

  • @minervas1000 They are...

  • @minervas1000

the cameras wouldn't be able to keep up with the plane!

  • @minervas1000 > Enough of TOP GUN! IRON EAGLE ALL THE WAY BABY!

  • @minervas1000 good thing TopGun Was a Navy movie

  • I heard they are, bringing back Cruise too, just a rumor though.

  • @minervas1000 lmfao i just watched it today

  • @minervas1000 I don't think I could handle losing Goose... again...

  • @minervas1000 because danger zone.
