@muffinman127 1990 T-Top 300ZX is $3750 on my local craigslist...Could probably haggle down to 3000- 3200 CASH.

Having that big wad of bills helps a LOT when it comes to buying a used car. If you want a good project car...you cant go wrong with a z car...But also consider a MX-6(KLZE engine, a 240SX(KA24 or SR20), and also the Toyota Celica GTS. All of them are good tuner cars to start tooling around with...STAY AWAY from HONDAS though

@jdavis00000007 No, you can't drive it with out a drive shaft but you can get one for around $150.00 online or from a local store just write down the P# from the online outlet and ask them to order that part. Don't pass it up because that part is easy to get.

@atvman1000 I think the Z motors speak well for themselves RB's are fun my roommate had a RB20 in his 240 but I think the z has alot more muscle to either even out with the, or beat them. Just my opinion.

@legacysubaru7 good luck man. its a struggle to get th vg30de to put out high numbers but it can be possible. my suggestion is higher compression pistons and forged rods along with a COMPLETE exhaust system, OEM TT injectors, dual pop intake, ECU reflash, bigger throttle bodies, walbro 255 and a shot of nitrous.

@legacysubaru7 well...there is a video on here of an NA 2+2 300zx with some mods smoking a WRX, so i would say, with the proper mods and tuning, yes you can. but remember this. once you get an NA, you cannot put turbo's on the N/A motor. they have a 10:1 compression stock. having that much comp. and then boosting will blow the engine to smitherines. so think about it before you get the NA, because a twin turbo swap i 10 times more expensive than just buying a twin turbo.

I love my zed he's a completet beast oh and mine's a TT lwb Manual.

@letsdr1ft most of the 300zx's came in an automatic transmission, because even though they have a TT its still considered more of a touring car, and less performance based

I own a 300zx LWB TT Manual, which the usa didn't get. You'll find far more manual TT's in the UK both uk & jap spec. I'm know the zed is a grand tourer. I've owned one for nearly 5 years, been a member of the owner's club for longer. Followed the zed since the first one left the production line. I've driven rx7's & surpa's but the zed imho is the best. Power, acceleration, plently of low down torque due to the v6 lots of rwd sideways action mmmmm nice

(last body style) has some very beautiful curves....I have always liked the styling on it....just my personal opinon, but out of all the Z's the 300zx has the best style...

indeed the z32 in the best although the 260z is rather retro stylish. The new mark 4 supra I must admit I don't like the shape it's like a jelly mould unless with a bit pram handle spoiler stuck to it's rear. I much prefer the mark III 3ltr manual turbo.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this conversion goes.

The 260z does indeed have some very retro styling to it. Yes, what I mentioned was just my personal opinion though, but I do also like the Mark lll's, Supra's have always been of interest to me though, its just my liking. I have just always liked the more "muscular" (if you will) look to it, and it has had a very sleek and appealing design to me....

I converted my 2+2 to twin turbo. with the NA rear end its faster than the one that came twin turbo my business partner has a twin turbo we have similar upgrades he has bigger turbos I have dual intake (main differences) and at a roll from 2nd to 4th he cant beat me
