Seeing this video for the first time reminds me just how appealing Caplin was. He was so photogenic!! You could see the strong bond between Melanie (his owner/mother) and Caplin. That's why his unexpected death in January, 2011 was so difficult on her and Caplin's many fans. RIP Caplin ROUS. The World's Most Famous Capybara.

I saw Caplin on Animal Planet Just Few days ago.

I saw few Capybaras back when I traveled to Venezuela (in the llanos). In my opinion they are really awesome creatures. They are very social animals. Even in the wild they are approachable by humans.
