People who haven't read one book on Iran and have a book full of opinions on Iran and how every pahlavi policy was undemocratic and very wrong. My fellow Iranians who want a clearer view on this matter, please read works of intellectuals like Ahmad Kasravi and Ali Dashti.

@TheAvestan : Nobody " overthrew" Mosedegh ! bah ! --- Reza Shah died in exile in 1942 --- Mosedegh's government was dissolved by the then Monarch - Mohammad Reza Shah ( Reza Shah's son ) in 1953 .

سلسله صفوی مثل همین جمهوری کثیف اسلامی بود، عقب ماندگی ایران از زمان صفویها شروع شد. تعزیه ، قمه زنی و... یادگار صفوی هست. قاجارها هم که کون گشادهایی بودن که در تاریخ نمونه نداشتن. قاجارها ها هم نصف ایران رو بخشیدن به روسها و در ضمن فوقالعاده مذهبی هم بودن. فقط رضا شاه و محمد رضا شاه ایران رو به عظمت رسوندن و باز با اومدن خمینی ایران رفت ۱۰۰۰ سال به عقب و دوران بدبختی ایران شروع شد. تا دوباره رضا شاه بعدی چه زمانی بیاد و ایران رو دوباره نجات بده ؟؟؟!!!!

The Young Shah at the age of 18 did his duty to himself, his country & his respect for Iran's culture and heratage. آنهایی که وطن وطن می گویند و دم از هواداری امثال رضا شاه می زنند بدانند که او فقط مقابل مردم قلدر بود. او قرداد 1933 را امضا کرد که بدتر از قبل ایران را گرفتار انگلیس کرد.
او قرارداد تحمیلی سعد آباد در سال 1937 امضا کرد که مطابق ان ایران در اروند رود حقی نداشت.

Long live Reza Shah the Great.Without him,Iran had never could have,unity,army,security,police,education,railway,independence, from imperialists.He was indeed a Great man of Iranian history.Pahlavi family were one of the very few dynasty after savage Arabian invasion whom were pure Iranian.Not Arab or Turks(not to be confused by Azarbyjanian)or Mongol descend.Pahlavies have done great social services into this country.Their spirits may be at peace.

Reza Shah was the product of the time.He wouldnt have been able to pull the cu-de-ta without British&German backing. When he refused to play the ball during the WW2 he paid the ultimate price.Yes,Iran needed a man like him.Mohhmmad Reza Shah wanted to follow his father's path but was scared of The Brits & Yanks.He was no gentle person- remember his loathsome secret service-SAVAK- and his henchman during the revolution? Mohammed Reza Shah too was a product of his time. That is what great man are. And when he stopped playing the American's tone, they engineered his downfall. We Iranians had not learned the lessons of history and instead of supporting a dyeing man — broke his hart and destroyed our country by following the mass hysterical street mayhem promoted by the Brits and the French. 28 years of wasted resources, talents and lives. That's what we have done to ourselves and our country.

I Admit , not much and I regret that.
I am now 58 years old and have been out of Iran for 44 years of my life.
But I still love Iran and want the best for my mother country and my country folks.

@f1kamali an uncle of mine was with savak. It's very exaggerated. People hate secret services by default. If the current US system gets overthrown and replaced by another you will also repetivelly here how bad the CIA and FBIA were.

Great post buddy, during Reza Shah Iran was speeding towards becoming a civilized country since he was a dictator and give people no chance to cheat lie and steal, he wouldn't stand it, hated Mullahs ,i wish his son had followed his father path but he was too kind and very gentle.
