  • Who gives a flying fuck about Eggman or Robotnik... ¬_¬

  • @BoneheadGideon9000 well mate :3 the most strangest question pop up in your head when u listne to good music :)

  • this song's friggin groovy

  • Needs more.. "GO!! GO!! GO GO GO!!"

  • This seems like the music on a Thinkgeek video.

  • Nice and lively from the start, yet very relaxing, it lives up to it's title, and goes BEYOND!!!

  • This doesn't sound like Launch Base, but it's awesome.

  • @Sonicthemainman It's the bass.

  • people callin this pron music don't know bout that house!~

  • Why do I listen to this on Playlist in Typing?! xDDD

  • its a little off why not add some beats to it like rings or sonic jumping i mean if your going for a hip hop sort a thing if not just remake the song in guitar music like you do best(no offense just suggesting not trying to tell you how to produce just saying ared)

  • I see no relation betweem the theme and Launch Base zone... =S

  • haha, Porn music

  • hey what do you know, it's gecko yamori

  • I would have no idea this was supossed to be Launch Base zone unless it said in the title. I'm just not hearing it.

  • The original version of the song annoyed the hell out of me, so this is a refreshing pace.

It's also very catchy with a great tone and feeling to it.

  • Thus sounds like the kind of music in a rejuvenating cream commercial :o

  • no kidding (the remix)

  • no go?

  • Near the end it sounds a bit like Death Chamber from SA2B :3 Anyone else notice?

  • I bet Robotnik stays in his elevator alot. Nice work by Project Chaos.

  • I hate to say this but Project Chaos kinda failed this one... Where's my Launch Base melody?? :(

  • @Tailsilver Depends on which Launch Base this is a remix of - There are two versions.

One was the original release of Sonic 3, while the other was for the PC port.

  • @Tjprower What do you mean?

  • @ShadowkingSonic

I mean there were two completely different songs for launch base.

The one that came with the Genesis version, and one that came with the computer Sonic 3 & Knuckles collection

  • @Tjprower Really? Ive never even heard of the pc version until now.

  • @ShadowkingSonic Yep, I have it. It was released 1998, and it introduced me to the series (Probably in the best way ever as S3&K remains my favorite Sonic game).

I'll tell you, though, I was shocked when I got the Sonic Mega collection and it played different music then what was on my computer!

Carnival Night Zone, Ice Cap, and Launch Base all had different music on the computer. I like the computer version of Casino better, but Ice Cap and Launch base are better with their original tunes.

  • @Tjprower Wait, 3 zones had different music?

  • @ShadowkingSonic Yeah I kow. Strange, huh? Supposedly those three zone's music was written (or aided) by Michael Jackson. However, at the time of the PC prt release, Michael was going through his first wave of scandals, and SEGA didn't want any part in it. So they replaced his work with new tracks for the PC game. Later, when MEGA Collection was released, they felt it was safe enough to reinstitute the lost tracks. It was just a marketing ploy to avoid a bad rap.

  • @Tjprower Well, Minus Icecap, the other 2 sound like they would be. BUT WHY DID THEY GET RID OF ICECAP?!

  • @ShadowkingSonic The whole deal that Ice Cap sounds like a sped up version of Michael Jackson's "Who Is It?"

However, this is a pretty silly thing to get worked up over. SEGA confirmed it awhile back, and the original tracks are the "Official" ones.

Now as far the video is concerned, I hear a little bit of both tracks in it. The composer took both versions into account in the remix. I think it sounds pretty good.

  • @Tjprower Yeah...

  • @ShadowkingSonic Sonic 3's ending music was different as well.

  • 1:51 That bassline is all so familiar, I LOVE it! :)

  • This is what tails plays flying around in that damn plane/

  • Ah what a pity... I love the bass start from the original song, and the vocals that keep shouting too... BUT, if it's meant to be an Elevator Music, I say it's perfect. Very well done!

  • The Launch Base melody is still here.

Not a lot of it, and not for long, but it's still here.

  • Eggman: Ugh why does this elevator take so long!

  • haha!

  • @Mudkipusedwatergun It's prolly the reason why he uses the eggmobile more often.

  • You think this song plays in Eggman's elevator when he rides in it?

  • could be.

  • @ShyDeathKitten666 I think you mean Robotnik. I take it your first Sonic game was Sonic Heroes?

  • @MajBlood To-may-to, To-mah-to.

  • @MajBlood I call him eggman, too. So shut up. *KA-COMMENT DISLIKE*

  • @ShyDeathKitten666 To be honest, I think he broke his elevator years ago.

  • @SerenitytheDragonair The waight limit is only five hundred pounds.

  • @AshuratheHedgeho1996 Yes, but it's obvious he weighs more than that :P lol

  • @ShyDeathKitten666 He doesn't need an elevator, he rides on his Egg Ship.

  • @ShyDeathKitten666 That's ROBOTNIK. This is the SEGA Genesis!

  • @AshuratheHedgeho1996 Wow, some 15 year old trying to correct someone on what Eggman's name is? He was designed as Eggman by his original creators at Sega of Japan. Robotnik was a western-only name, presumably to avoid getting sued by the Beatles. Both names are now canon and perfectly acceptable, but he was named Eggman before anything else. Get with the program, rugrat.

  • @psikeout Shut the hell up, man. I'm as big a fan of the series as any adult! But I prefer the name Doctor Robotnik. It sounds a lot more menacing than Eggman.

  • @AshuratheHedgeho1996 Oh no, the little boy said "hell." This makes his opinion infinitely more persuasive.

It isn't about what you like. You were correcting someone. You got served, but the world keeps on turning. I'm sure you'll get over it someday.

  • @psikeout Look, I grew up with the name Robotnik. It's just a name I prefer.

    Peace?

  • @AshuratheHedgeho1996

I can see why. Robotnik sounds more menacing than a name that represents his shape. XD

  • without the organ this would make a pretty sick ass platform to build a kick ass chill out acid jazz track on.

  • @ShaneKenton: sick ass and kick ass.

I like your style sir =P

  • The very beginning up until 0:15 reminds me of Chrono Trigger in 65,000,000 B.C.'s world map.

All that aside, this is awesome~

  • Hm? This isn't the Genesis Launch Base, is it?

  • Yes it is. And it's a brilliant remix of it too.

  • Sounds more like the Sonic 3K PC launch base theme, which in fact sounds like elevator music to me.

  • what instrument comes in at 0:16?

  • keyboard and drums

  • he means the *shwing.g.g! sound , i think its a symbol

  • Reverb Cymbal

  • I think It's an electric organ.

  • Sounds like an organ to me.

The cymbal sound is probably a high-hat or a splash played in reverse - I'm not a drummer, so it's just a guess. :/

  • @Otacon144 Nope, just plain FM synthesized cymbal , keyboard trumpet and strings , rhodes and synth bass.

  • Great remix. He does his own thing (which is great) but still respects the source material. I don't think he changed much of the feel of the original song at all, launch base core melody was pretty laid back

  • your kidding right?

this sounds nothing like launch base.

  • He's pretty much right. Don't close you're eyes to the facts. WHERE IS THE "GO"?

  • this belongs more on the catwalk zone lol

    it just doesnt feel right

launch base zone is meant to sound industrial

    this sounds too laid back

  • Great Tune

  • Not Go?:( I liked the "Go!".It kept telling you to finish the stage.

  • DashB2, so true, the "Go! Go! Go! Go!" really added an edge to the original tune.

imo, this is a nice remix but it's lacking a bit of the energy the original had.

  • what do you expect? it's elevator music!

  • I'd say this'd be an Act 1 to MaxieDaMan's Egg Disco as Act 2.

  • @sslaxx well that sucks MaxieDaMan is gone Youtube is becoming more of a Depressing Place now!

  • i listen to this when i am angry. never fails

  • ahahha elevator music!

  • This song does sounds more like backround music.

  • Launch base had some of the best music, the Bass Line was great, sorry but this remix does not do it justice.

    BTW>

Did they Remix this on the computer, by keyboard, or did he really play all those instruments, and edit it all together?

Also, how do you get the techno beat they got out of they're marble gardens and special stage songs. Keyboard?

I would really like to know.

  • there are a lot of very, very complex computer programs with keyboards that plug into a pc or some crazy crap like that.

i seem to think that the project chaos artists did different things depending on the song. most were probably done using a very advance synthesizer, but i seem to think a few were recorded in a studio.

  • very relaxing, yet cool. it would make perfect background music in a supermarket.

  • lol really?

  • lmfao. Totally would be.

  • *cch* clean up on aisle three. yeah i hear it

  • lol

  • Oh crap, yes I do too...nice song though.

  • @LusterPurge94 I think people would start dancing more than they would shop :-D

  • This is from the same guy responsible for SoRR's music.

  • one of them anyway

  • Pretty good but I think Robotnik Radio sounds more like elevator music to me...

  • Awesome! I have a series called Harry Potter Stick Figures, and in one episode I'm going to have them dance like retards to this song.

  • No, do not defile the name of awesomeness with lame Harry Potter dances.

  • True. Plus, I recently decided to only put audio that I made in my Stick Figure videos, so I canceled the idea.

  • nice. one of project chaos' most calming musics. right next to ice cap for life.

  • Well, it's nice for a background music, not for listening music :)

  • I suppose its supposed to match the sort of music heard in real elevators, hard to recognise the original song, but its still nice.

  • I Wouldn't Call It A Launch Base Zone REMIX.

But It's Not Too Bad. It's More Of A Chillout Tune, If You Know What I Mean.

  • not at all great. Sorry
