This is a trick question, but can you use some diminished tricks in Hendrix's Woodstock version of Villanova Junction? I just saw it for the first time and saw a lot of shapes and grips that don't seem like your normal boxy pentatonics. It would be nice to know what he's doing and why it works because it is one gentle and tasty piece of music!
Turn up the treble if you please. Your tone has always been good but, in my opinion, it needs a more complex overtone series. And the Z Wreck will give it to you if you give it a little more leeway to add to the tone. Just my opinion, I hope that doesn't offend you. You have such great skill and great gear that when the tone isn't what it seems like it would be, it's just obvious to me.
@TheJohan9595 I think he has talked about it before but maybe not a whole video. One of the things I remember him talking about was "leave empty space: don't feel like you have to be playing at all time" and "be conscious of going fast and slow. Get faster, then slow back down, keep it changing"
Great lessons Dave !! Not only are you a stellar player but your use of speech and presentation skills are second to none. It makes things that much easier to understand.
GREAT lesson Mr. Dave ! I like how you let the viewer jump in and while doing that you are playing the rhythm chords, that way when you go back in- i can then practice rhythm and how these chords are working as well- kinda like 2 in1
i use the major/modes and harmonic minor/its modes & pentatonics but as I listen to alot of jazz I have been wanting to get into the dim scale to use for music......

Great lesson. What's fun is alternating between this dominant diminished and A mixalydian.
