  • @wwef6lr Look at his final note, how long did it last, 2 secs? Other's do it for 5-10 secs.

  • @xSaikusu he ran out of air

  • lmao 0:00-0:06 looks like hes about to inhale that mic.

  • He's not that good, period.

  • @jonathangarcia09 Get the freak out of here, son. Trolling.

  • Those of you who compare Neal to operatic greats like Pavarotti ought to remember you're comparing a man off the street essentially with a star who has had years of training. If you're going to compare, then apples with apples people. Pavarotti has a different tone to his voice.. Neal's quality sounds more mellow like Mario Lanza in tone, but it is unfair to compare Pavarotti with Neal at this stage. It is early days yet for Neal to develop his voice.. give the guy a chance.

  • @SuperMoofie This is what producers told. But Neal has a degree in voice performance, he is a voice major who didn't make it in opera, so he got another job just like thousands of voice graduates who fail to make it in opera do. There is no need to compare to Pavarotti, there are many tenors today who could sing this better - listen to Michael Fabiano for example. Another tenor on this show - Braswell could have sung it better, but I was told the producers wouldn't allow it.

  • Pavarotti was the man; nobody even comes close!

  • @Trumpetplayer444

    cool story bro.

    You jelly?

  • Desde Argentina, mis felicitaciones por ser un magnifico tenor, segui adelante.

  • amazing!!

  • he sings like a conventional singer, not an operatic one. his voice lacks the fullness needed to sing this aria. also, i don't feel that he understands the meaning of the libretto in the context of the opera. you can't just vary the dynamics and add vibrato to produce a desired effect. for instance, cutting off the last vincero makes no sense in the context that calaf has just won the bride of his dreams while avoiding execution at the hands of her men. a sub-par performance in my opinion.

  • Neal is one of the best. Heart in the song. Tears is hes songs.

I love him and hes beatiful voice. He is amazing.

  • I prefer Paul Pootts, he has more feeling!!!! It's my opinion. Regards

  • PAUL POTTS...

  • Am I the only one to think he kinda sucks? Man he's not that bad ok, but he's far from good, just listen to his last "vincello", it sucked!!!!!!!

  • @SharikTheReal you mean "vincero" and its a high B, you try singing that. it's not easy, i'd know, i'm a tenor in opera

  • @JAyala7293 yes vincerò, my bad. But yeah I already tried that and found out that it is better than what Neal does (I'm serious).

  • i just love this guy

  • it a shame that there are so many talented people in this world and all are doing some stupid job.. take neal here for instance .. he's an amazing talent but he was selling insurance?

what is wrong with people in this world?.. GO OUT SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT AND RULE THE WORLD!!! NOW!!! GO IF U HAVE ANY TALENT JUST GO FORGET ABT OTHERS AND JUST GO!!!!!

  • I love this, too beautiful...people talk about Paul Potts and yes he's good but Neal has/shows more emotion..that's just my opinion

  • @wwef6lr Emotion is what opera is all about.

  • I LOVE HIM, I STILL CRY WHEN I HEAR HIM BEAUTIFUL

  • nuttin but stringz should have won....

  • And yes, Franco Corelli was awesome

  • Why are you calling me an idiot ????? That's very poor. Now I understand why you like the "lower"quality of music.

  • Franco Corelli was the best and will be the best FOREVER !

  • WATCH THE VIDEO .... LASEK AND KEYZ " PENSANDO EN TI "

  • Oh yes I already knew it a long time ago. I have a lot of recordings of Luciano Pavarotti from his younger years and it was from the beginning a fact. Pavarotti is for me the best tenor ever. And of course it's just my own feeling. And above evrything I hope Neal will be a great star,

  • Nobody will EVER be better than Pavarotti

  • @jerryveen you can't know this by now...

  • @jerryveen

You are a complete idiot. Nobody can match or surpass Franco Corelli. Obviously you are ignorant about opera. Try studying some music.

  • @ADERRICKHAND Well thats the difference between them exactly. Neal is at the start of his career while Pavarotti WAS a master of his art.

  • the first time he sang better, this time he's got an uge pressure on him, it's understandable c'mon!

  • forza italiaaaaaaaa

  • Nicely done for an amateur. Compare him to Bocelli, or Pavarotti and well, there is no comparison. I hope he gets some good vocal training and improves. He's a nice guy with a good story but definitely not an elite operatic tenor. Not yet.

  • How can anyone even mention Neil and Pavarotti in the same sentence? Do you know how many years of training it takes to be an opera singer. He will NEVER be an opera singer but that doesn't mean he can't sing more popular songs.

  • how the hell did ths marshmallow win??

nuttin but strngs shouldve won instead

  • Got the same build as pavarotti ;) :L

  • i dont know when am looking at him singing like that i feel like a fat hungry guy asking for buger 01:59 and so on...

  • YOU SUCK......

  • U can't compare with pavarotti please!

  • @cristobalcolumbus71 Thank you for having a brain and a pair of ears that work.

  • Pavarotti in the making.. But Neal's life story is FANTASTIC!!

  • this guy is a hero to me

  • amazing voice, its incredible, its.... magnifico, una voz increible el sentimiento el corazon!!! love him really!! Talentosisimo!

  • d 1st performance was better .. maybe cos got more emotion inside ( he was half crying lol)

  • i don't see how you couldn't be moved by that his voice is powerful and carries so much emotion and passion

  • Neal is good, but I've heard a lot better. For instance, take the winner of Australia's got talent a few years back. His name is Mark Vincent and he's only 15 years old. He sang Nessun Dorma for his audition as well. Listen to it and compare the two. I think you'll see what I mean.

  • @heartlandcutie13

    Hahahahahha......

    ok

  • @heartlandcutie13 Singing Nessun Dorma at 15 years old is a bad idea....

  • @UxDarkGhostxU Mmm. I do agree singing arias at such a young age can DEFINITELY strain the voice. That's why I wasn't a huge supporter of Jackie Evancho. But by the time you're in high school, your vocal chords have developed more than when you're really young. And with the proper training, you should be ready to sing those kind of songs (at least without hurting yourself) once you reach an upper teen age.

  • @heartlandcutie13 Agreed. I mean, you CAN sing it at 15 years old, but singing it consistently could still wear and strain the voice to some extent that it could ruin your singing voice.

  • @UxDarkGhostxU Definitely agreed. I'm glad someone on youtube understands that. Everyone was going crazy for Jackie Evancho and I was the one that kept saying "she's not going to be able to sing in 15 years, because she's damaging her voice by singing arias at 10 years old..."

  • @heartlandcutie13 Agree for the most part, certainly for a 10-year old, but consider this: Adelina Patti made an opera debut singing Lucia at 16; Toti dal Monte sang in an opera in la Scala at about the same age; Rosa Ponselle made a debut at the Met as Leonora in La Forza del Destino at 20. But... in reality none of so-called "opera" singers on tv talent shows are at the level of singers who succeed in opera; Vincent or Jackie may have potential if they take care of their voices.

  • @jewelmarkess Thats what I think. Jackie potentially could become an incredible opera singer, provided that she continue classical training (I'd love it if she did some bel canto training, but I won't hold my breath), however, it looks like she's already being branded a "Classical Crossover" artist, which is a euphemism for "Bad Classical Music. Period" Its too bad, but its easier to make money singing crap than sacrifice your life to studying opera.

  • @flicfan416 I agree. In classical crossover something suffers - pop/Broadway singers are bad at classical music and most opera singers are bad in pop. Crossover has it's place, but I wonder if it had been as popular if there had been more exposure to classical music today. I hope Jackie gets classical gtraining because she has a lot of potential. Crossover has instant fame and money, and opera is more difficult, but opera singers' careers last decades while crossover singers come and go.

  • @jewelmarkess It almost makes you wish Jackie had never appeared on Agt, because she might have continued on a solely classical regimen.

  • @flicfan416 True, especially as the organizers of these shows don't care about anybody's vocal health. I heard they tell singers what to sing even if it's not appropriate for their voices. They don't care. I am not sure if Jackie would've continued with strictly classical music - she had already performed as "classical crossover singer" before AGT. I am not sure if her parents know much about opera or even like it. I wish they just take Jackie to an opera; she may get interested then.

  • @heartlandcutie13 austrailias got tale-*bursts out laughing*

  • Congratulations my friend. Well done!

  • It is hard to argue with success. Neal E. Boyd picked a winner with Nessun Dorma for both his audition and his final performance

    vincero vincero! vincero!!!!!!!!!

which means I will win, I will win, I WILL WIN.

Paul Potts chose Nessun Dorma as his audition song for Britains Got Talent 2007 and then for his final performance and he won. The last three words in this aria are vincero vincero! vincero!!!

  • this brought tears to my eyes.

  • paul potts did much better

  • i find david hasselhoff and jerry springer absolutely annoying! So glad they're off the show. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought it was pretty good, but iono guys/gals... he seemed imperfect... I would have voted for Nothin' but Strings

  • I don't really like punching people, but if I have to, I will!

  • And I may add, only to an untrained ear was Braswell even close to Neal. Neal's voice is in a completely different league than Donald Braswell. I can do better than Braswell did, he butchered "Music of the Night" as I remember as it's my favorite.

And for those of you who aren't aware, the voice of a tenor normally doesn't mature until their late 30's or even later.

  • @rrose2009 Braswell wasn't allowed to sing opera arias on that show. Listen to his opera recordings here. As to tenor voice not maturing - most opera singers sing in opera theaters already in their 20s. But just as illustration - listen to 24 year old Michael Fabiano singing this same aria. For comparison: Fabiano was among 6 winners of Met Council Auditions at 22, he performed a leading role in La Scala the following year following by a leading role at the Met. Where is Neal now?

  • I've liked Neal since day 1 and always will, because I, too, am a "big" tenor. However one thing I have noticed after hearing his cd and other live performances, during this final he is a little flat and rushes the tempo some. Yes, I know the orchestra is supposed to follow his lead, but for whatever reason (time contraints, nerves, etc...) it was rushed. And I am betting he knows it was after watching. But much better than everyone else. This and Groban are the sounds I strive for.

  • new pavarotti

  • this guy is awsum...but i think ''nuttin but strings'' those guys r far more better than him....they should have won this competetion.

  • good man

  • you pebs know notting. hes amazing. not as good as pavarotti no. but good

  • omg, I havent seen this show, but after hearing Donald Braswell and hearing this guy Im quite dissapointed. Donald was defenitely better than him, just watch him singing the america anthem : / or Besame Mucho. Anyway I guess that the triumph of donald came after that show. Best of luck for these guys

  • @mnunezper he was not better, he had one good performance but this guy, the reason he is better because when he sings it not justing singing to him its his life and you can feel that in his performance. GO neal

  • @monkeymonk6 nope neal's vocal technique is bad for an opera singer, isnot even in the average...different from donalds at his best...For pop I guess its ok,u see even Andrea Bocelli doesnt have a good technique for opera but for his pop opera is great. If andrea bocelli is very far to be compared with great opera tenors...u can see my point when I heard comparisons... but well I wish neal the best of lucks,he has talent but rightnow hes far from professional opera tenors, he needs to work

  • I personally don't like opera but...DAMN hes really good.

  • I like his voice and for a young "kid" to have an appreciation for the operatic art form today is fantastic, I just wish he would ditch the silly hat.!

  • new Pavarotti? ok listen to paul potts , neal doesnt hold a candle to paul.....

  • @blackdragon20075 man u come out with some bull shit

  • @blackdragon20075 naa i disagree. Theyre both good but nobody could ever hold a candle to pavarotti.

  • New Pavarotti!

  • funny thing is, if that mic was taken from him, no one would ever hear a lick of what he tried to sing

  • @aroncooker is it true that an opera singers voice can be powerful enough to be hear in a theatre without a mic or is that an exaggeration. I ask this because at the moment I am15 and considering operatic training as a baritone

  • @FilmRangers Yes it is very true. Message me if you want to know more. It is quite amazing what the human voice can achieve when properly trained.

  • True:this dude gots tallent.Respect Neal E.U have the way on ur own hands.keep practising and never give up.

  • Dumb audience never have been to an opera. You're not supposed to scream or clap during the play.

  • @omfgroflma0

    Welcome to America.

  • Boyd sang the aria better this time around than at his AGT audition, and the reason I think is that the mike this time was at a better height for him. The first time it was too low and was a distraction.

  • I am probably the only one who thinks that Swedish Jussi Björling did the best version of Nessum Dorma, but oh well... He's good.

  • @luminoustarisma I never thought i would find someone to mention the Great Bjorling on this video. THANK YOU! Cant even compare the two.

  • @aroncooker: of course I had to. I'm Swede after all. Bjorling is the first version I ever heard of the song, and in my opinion the best.

  • no one can be like pavarotty lol

  • hell no.

  • Donald Braswell should have been allowed to sing Nessun Dorma ....He would have won AGT 100% of the votes

Listen now on youtube to Donald sing this Aria its just gone up... Neals voice is so bland compared to the awesome range of Donald.

I will wear out Donalds new CD very fast its called... We fall and we rise again available on Amazon

    Ann in Canada

  • There is a You link of Donald Braswell singing Nessun Dorma for his new album about to be released. Search Donald Braswell Nessun Dorma and you'll see it.

  • Guy has a nice voice but his tone is inconsistent, he's too breathy in places, and he has some pitch problems. He's got a great insturment but it just seems in need of some coaching.

  • katylien deserved to win :/

  • @callyk147 she was good but because of her age the words and her voice was not at her best his are at his best

  • Out of millions and billions of songs, he picks the one Paul Potts sung. Why? I'm with Putera, PP sang it better. I think Eli should have won. This guy's good but not as controlled as Paul. Too breathy. I'm not that impressed.

  • The reason Opera singers choose to sing Nessun Dorma is because second to E Lucevan Le Stelle it is one of the hardest arias to sing, it shows their range and abilities. I don't think he was copying PP. =)

  • PAVAROTTI not Paul Potts get it right!

  • paul pott was better i think

  • wonderful bravo bravo bravo

  • ¡Bravo,Bravo, Bravo!

  • the black paul potts

  • he sings better than Paul Potts

  • finnaly someone who understands...!!!!!

  • paul potts was fat and crap. this guy, fat and good.

  • Sorry i dont mean to be offensive, but dont really think he is that good.

  • @mrtamberineman123

but he also deserves it...he wanted it so badly you know?

  • I think that nuttin but strings is better

  • I also agree give him time... his voice level will increase as he gets older....Pavarotti grew better with time....and so shall he....

  • @pegeen007 Pavarotti was just about perfect in his technique by his mid 20's from several years of hard study. Boyd doesnt even compare. It is not about getting older and just becoming better.

  • give him time..

pavarotti singed his whole life as a professional..

neal is just at the beginning.

if he works a little bit on his voice, he will be much better.

  • @Beatmebaby1337 hum I dont know, there are thousands of tenors who just like him are in the "beginning" so you can say the same for those people, and even there are many many many tenors who are better than him rightnow at this point and all of them are keeping improving, so for my opinion I dont think hes gonna trascend in the singing world, hes got talent but so do most of the people in chorus, maybe if he would have started many years ago... The same with paul potts.

  • @Beatmebaby1337

but if neal singed his whole life

then it would be america's got hard-working

    not AGT

  • @Beatmebaby1337 Pavarotti Didn't work "a little bit" on his voice. He spent over twenty years practicing NO LESS than four hours a day BEFORE he made his professional debut. And after that, he never stopped practicing, hours a day, until the end of his life.

To even imply that Neal E Boyd has the potential of Pavarotti is insulting to his legacy, and furthermore, I PROMISE YOU NEAL E BOYD WILL NEVER SING IN AN OPERA.

  • @Beatmebaby1337 another big difrens pavarotti got professional thro a school and this guy just made it this far from just loving the music and learn from him self so actully i think neal is alot better then pavarotti

  • nobody can be better then pavarotti...but this guy is really good

  • Better than.

  • no no listen the higher c....

  • I feel that though pavaratti might have been better, neal may be the next best thing. With so many beautiful singers singing their "final performances" we all need to learn to appreciate what we have at this moment. With experience, Neal will be great. He has such a sad story, I can't help but feel that he does not need all the trash that people post.

  • Im not saying he's bad,but he has alot of work to do,if he wants to compete with andrea bocelli.pavoratti, placido domingo, the list goes on. and I stand by my comment earlier,His voice does tend to wonder.and his ending of nessum dorma is the worse i've ever seen.

  • I love Neal Boyd, I love Paul Potts, I love Placido domingo. BUT honestly after i watch this video and watch Pavarotti sing, oh man I'm sorry but i still get more goosebumps from Pavarotti, nothing against any of them. anyways enough talk about it, its all past, can we move along?

  • i think musically paul potts is better but neal has more beautiful voice

  • When we listen to Pavarotti's Nessun Dorma we become aware of how Paul Potts is not that great and how terrible Neal Boyd is.

  • Prety good!!!... and Yes human have sentiment. He is not perfect and thats why we love him.

  • ???? What are you talking about it's not all over the place?

  • apparently your deaf

  • It's called verbrato.....everyone's is different. And even if he was "all over the place" he still sounds good. I didn't say he was the best. But he's not bad.

  • Vibrato, not verbrato

    :)

  • Thanks.......I can't spell to save my life lol ^_^

  • unbelievable singing!!

  • dude got real talent i hope you keep up this work brother

  • Paul Potts better i think.

  • Sings very well, yes.

But enough with all the crying. That's too annoying.

  • Cant blaim him for being emotional.

  • That being said, there is no excuse to be THAT fat............

.........that being said, the dude can sing like a madmen. His version of Nessun Dorma is my favorite of all time.

  • no matter what he weighs, he kicked everyone's butt.

  • Just so you know people of low income have a higher propensity to be obese. Healthy food is generally more expensive than food thats awful for you. Think about it, a double cheeseburger and fries from Mcdonals or a hummus with pita chips and a fruit cup. Which ones cheaper? Which ones better for you. This isn't a third world country, low income people don't starve themselves. Many, however, are forced to settle on eating cheap food.

  • His voice is beautiful... just... beautiful. Bravo, Neal - congrats!

  • i am referring to the comment of mrtamberineman123 just because somebody is fat how they can be poor? i have a 10 year old who is very overweight and i am a single parent and do not overfeed my child just because someone is overweight does not mean that they eat all the time and is stuffing their face!!!!!!!!!!!! there could be a medical reason.

  • I APOLOGISE FOR MY LAST COMMENT OK

it wasnt necaserry and it was bull shit ok.

  • THERE IS SOMTHING THAT ALWAYS MAKES ME SUSPICIOUS ABOUT HIM.

I know he keeps on reffering to how he and his mother are poor and dont have alot of money,

THEN HOW COME HE IS SOOOOO FAT (No offence to him)

By looking at him it seems that he and his mother had a hell of alot of money for loads and loads and loads of food.

Im not trying to be mean but his mother wasnt fat so it cant of run in the family, so he must off got the money from somewhere to buy all of that food.

  • You should probably keep your mouth shut. Don't think I need to tell you why.

  • this man has the best singing voice i have ever heard god bless u neil

  • i liked eli more, but at least neal was good enough to deserve the win

  • The Oprah singer nearly always wins because of the Granny votes, has one hit record then you never hear from them again. He is good though, best of luck to him.

  • His italian is an utter nightmare

  • @Flexo86 i know! horrible!

  • Neal.E.Boyd got talent.BUT I BELIEVE nutting but stringz should have won.and everyone knows that.i mean look nutting but stringz are so cool.If both they have a concert. i think the most people will choose NUTTING BUT STRINGZ

  • They got nothing on Neal...END OF STORY. Many people can play the violin but not many can sing like him!

  • He brought Luciano Pavarotti back. He and Paul Potts. It has proven to us that all the other genres in the music business are just alternatives. But opera is the original. It followed us from the time of the vikigins and so on. Until today. It is just amazing. Christians use it, jews use it and even us muslims use it and well.. it's just the best. It will always be in. I cried so much to this. One day I'll be there on a stage like that! <3 believe in your dreams..

  • @DinaxD I wish more people like you were in this world to speak that truth. Opera was the originator for many of these stupid pop culture genres. And it is certainly much more beautiful music.

Can I just say.... That is my favorite quote "Believe in your dreams...." I have said it for many years. Because that is what i am doing, studying to be on the opera stage one day, and I dont mean on these stupid talent shows....

  • Eli should have won and Neal 2. But Neal is also a great singer. And come on FilmRangers. Paul Potts has NEVER been trained by Pavarotti.... He worked in a warehouse in England, so do you really think Pavarotti has trained him before he competed in BGT??? ha ha ha

  • if you compare this final performance to Paul Pott's Final Performance at BGT you can see that Paul Potts's is much better... This guy cannot even hold a high note like Paul did. I've also seen both of their auditions and all i can say is Paul did better than him...

  • you're right but Paul Potts was trained by Pavarotti (no joke) so it only makes sense that he'd be better

  • @FilmRangers uhhhhh no he wasnt....

  • Paul Potts is a trillion times better

  • Beaucoup de mise en scène pour un résultat moyen.

  • Magical soulful incredible you showed me heaven thank you Neal

  • Awesome

  • hey im not gay, at all, i get pussy every night. But dude everytime i hear him sing nessa dorma he gives me goose bumps.

  • @joshy792 so you are scared that someone would think your gay because you said that???? hahaha, time to grow up

  • you know what's missing? his diaphragm, he doesn't get that deep breath to get down into the register he needs to be in. listen to pavarotti in related videos to see what i mean.

not being mean to the guy. just sayin'.

  • Actually I think he did that more than ANYONE! He has a strong vabratto and he has a perfect control over his breathing.. :) And you know he was actually crying in this one and he managed to take it to higher standards! Thats just amazing. :)

  • Much better than Potts.
