this is an awsome film..i love it...still i can't i cant understand why it got the R18+ rating in Australia...its not very violent,no strong sex or references or nudity, and no strong course language either.
this was & is a sleeper movie, it never really got cult status like the shining, carrie & scanners. The story is a well thought out and the acting was very good, I would be interested in seeing a updated version of this movie. Amy Irving was a peach..she likely still still is but she does not act anymore so dunno
De Palma was at the top of his game with this, Carrie and Dressed to Kill. He was a genius with slow motion. I don't know why he didn't use Pino Donaggio for this for the music but John Williams did a pretty good job I guess.
DePalma wanted Donnagio, but John Williams' music was such an important factor in the success of Star Wars that 20th Century Fox insisted on Williams.
Did anyone else notice the weird throwing of hands

De Palma was influenced greatly by Alfred Hitchcock,he just loved how Hitch could put together a scene.

Anyone notice around 3.00 minute mark, it keeps changing from in shadow to sunlight... bad continuity :-(

In case no one knows, Amy Irving does the singing voice for Jessica Rabbit in "Who framed Roger Rabbit."
