  • Nice recipe! I just posted a video response of a recipe I did recently that also has white beans, garlic and rosemary. I totally agree with waiting on the salt until the beans are done. Very important not only for tender beans but also for digestion. I like your style. I'm subscribing now. Thanks!

  • Does the cooking time vary if you are using a regular pot instead of a pressure cooker?

  • What does nutritional yeast do? You seem to add it in a lot of your dishes.

  • Nutrtional yeast adds a lot of flavor to dishes, as well as protein and B vitamins. It's a really cool ingredient.

  • Julie,

Thank you for the delicious FLAVORFUL bean recipe. Wow! I made it Tuesday and had it for lunch all week. I plan to make some more today and freeze it. P.S. I bought your video as well. Your new fan Jerri

  • Thanks Jerri!

  • Could miso be used rather than veggie or mushroom cubes?

  • Maybe, but you can just use regular veg bouillon. I think miso would change the flavor of this too much.

  • Yummy yam

  • yummmm

  • looks easy to make and delicious

  • do you think thyme could be used instead of rosemary?

  • Sure. But the rosemary is really good!

  • that would be realy delicious~!!!!

  • Why are you not on Food Network...

  • Thanks! You'd have to ask the Food Network why ;-)

  • I know! All the viewers should send emails to the Food Network to get her on. The Food Network needs a vegan or vegetarian cook that prepares healthy meals.

  • That would be awesome! We need a vegan/veg show on Food Network!

  • A nice dish, think I will try it.

But it would be really nice of we could actually look at it one or two times while you are cooking it.

  • Doesn't it make you all gassy?

  • add freshly shreded ginger about 2 tsp in this recipe.

    (no gas, guarantee.)

try and use ginger in all kind of beans dishes.

  • Actually I wouldn't add ginger to this dish. The flavor won't go with the sage in it.

The soaking and rinsing of the beans with gassy side effects.

  • Oh ok I didn't know that thanks

  • I meant the soaking and rinsing helps eliminate a lot of the gassy effects. Oops!

  • Ok thanks

  • beans are supposed to only make you gassy if youre not used to digesting them, ie if you havent been consuming beans on a regular basis. (i think)

  • Yeah I'm not used to beans.
