  • I passed Messina strait so many times ,pilot is boarding with 16 knots speed

  • wow very nice. I just returned from Freedom of the Seas and I do not remember a bridge viewing room.

  • 18.2 knots :)

  • @BelgianEvo lol imagine being in a cessna 152 at 18.2 knotts. lol fail

  • i really wanted to be in the maritime industry. i'm still studying at a maritime college.. im so excited to be onboard.

  • nice video .. its interesting that on the bridge there are 6 people constantly on watch while on the cargo vessels they are only 2

  • On some cargo vessels only 1 on watch constantly. On the oiltanker I am working on we only have one on the bridge at sea.

  • @diodoubled

It lowers the cost of insurance, more people operating the bridge, the less chance of anything going wrong. Cargo ships don't have many staff or any passengers so it would be pointless using more than 2. :)

  • I guess the guy in the yellow polo shirt and vest is the harbour pilot, helping the crew to take her to open seas.

    Nice one!
