  • Craig Charles was a great host. Looking back at this though, it's amazing how stronger his Scouse accent is compared to later series and his work today. Strange that...

  • I prefer this host over the last one, he seems less insulting to the losers

  • 7.5 metres... most of it being pushed by Killalot.

  • Never mind, I misremembered how this works...

  • This may cause arguments, but I actually prefered it from Series 2 onwards, when it was all about the fighting, really.

  • @ShadowdaHedgie11 it was ok from series 2 til about 4 or 5, then it just got ridiculous with all that robot wars extreme stuff the robot wars belt thing, it just got bad

  • American here, LOVED watching this at my grandparents house every saturday night on TNN/Spike TV

Never really recall the American version with Mick Foley though

  • now all they need is rimmer and it will be red dwarf all over again Lol

  • Piece de Resistance is possibly the worst robot to have ever entered Robot Wars.

  • @thefateshavewarned You might be forgetting Granny's Revenge...

  • @PinkHuggable I also forgot Twn Trwn from series 3.

  • @thefateshavewarned robogeddon was, TORN TO SHREDS by hypnodisc

& there was a team during series 2 where they used wooden wheels & went straight into the direction of matilda & got the chainsaw through the wheels

  • @cole003f Yeah I remember that fight between Hypnodisc and Robogeddon. That was awesome.

I think the one robot that you're talking about who's wheels were cut was a robot called Wheelosaurus. That bot competed in the heat after this one and was beaten by the original Chaos in the heat semi-final. I do recall his wheel being cut either in that battle or in the gauntlet.

  • @thefateshavewarned the robot with the wooden wheels im talking about didnt even make it past the gauntlet it was a dad & his 2 sons

  • @cole003f Now I remember. The robot was called Broot. It was in heat J of series 2, the same heat as GBH.

  • i like craig as a presenter much better than jeremy clarkson, he gets into it a whole lot more :)

  • @RS14988 craig made it so much more exciting aswell

  • I like how in series 3 dead metal was redone.

  • i love the person that posted all of these :) i've just got hold of my own remote control sir killalot :)

  • HUZZAH Sir Killalot!

  • He also does the commentary for tekeshis castle

  • lol, the sir killalot driver had some fun, lifting piece de resitance over the wall they failed to break down.

  • anyone think that caliban sounds like taliban

  • You gotta love the reaction on David Crosby's face when Killalot ambushed Napalm!

  • LOL. What's with the accent LOL

  • its Lister!!!!!!!!! hurray he rules

  • yes sir killalot his there

  • All the robots in this heat are pathetic.

  • @Daiyuki117

Pathetic bots are what made robot wars awesome.

  • @QwertyBeetle Hypnodisc made Robot Wars awesome.

  • @Daiyuki117

hypnodisc was god damn annoying, how would you like it if you built a bot and had it destroyed in seconds? Heavyweights cost a fortune and take a long time to build.

  • @QwertyBeetle robot wars was all about robots destroying each other, and anyone who didn't want to risk their robot getting completely demolished shouldn't have entered in the first place.

  • @Blompcube

True, but it was the only competition of the time.

  • Please welcome your commander in chief, Craig Charles.

I wish I had someone who announced that whenever I entered a crowded room...

  • @RamiusChase I do, I pay him £5 an hour

  • @Murdock129

I now know what I want for Christmas. :D

  • Back when Napalm was actually good. XD

  • Aw man Sgt Bash looks so much cooler in this than in later series.

  • I think ya can see that Craig Charles is so much better at hosting this show than Clarkson...

  • I feel so stupid...I went to Dartford Grammar Boys for five years just as Robot Wars was winding down...and NEVER at least asked around any of the people I knew at the girls school about any of the Napalm team! Ah well...this was the first time I got into Robot Wars, great nostalgia :)

  • craig charlles suited the show better than Clarkson, who should really have stuck to top gear.

  • Yes Sir Killalot.

  • Piece De Resistance is introduced as the lightest robot at 57 kg. Followed by Caliban weighing... 54kg. Nice research Jonathon.

  • dead metal still has the flimsy cd cutter

  • This new guy sucks! Barely understand him...

  • @Dymamyd Craig Charles is King. If you can't understand the scouse accent then learn.

  • @Dymamyd :O how dare u! craig is wicked! hes much better than clarkson

  • IT'S LISTER! :O

  • @BromTown I know! I realized that today :D I was looking on wikipedia about red dwarf, i thinked about the voice, thinked about robot wars voice, and then i was fucking speechless :O

  • I watched this show when I was 9 years old :') those were the days!

  • @MegaFluffyPlatypus I was 4 5 and 6 years old when this show was on

I wish they still did Robot Wars now

I loved it when i was a little kid

Shame it not on ordinary telly anymore

  • @Footbalcrazychocomad i was watching robot wars extreme just today

at the time sir killalot kinda scared me

  • @MegaFluffyPlatypus it's a childhood memory to many, your not the only one who misses it

  • Fanastic! Series 2 was the best with the gauntlet and challenges before they ditched it all for just fights in 3rd series and onwards.

  • @Proiteus Agreed. I think they were right to move to an exclusively fight-based competition for the main championship, but I was disappointed to see stuff like the challenges and the Gauntlet disappear. They should've kept the format that Series 4 had - the main championship, with the pinball warrior and sumo basho tournaments running alongside as seperate competitions. Imagine the Gauntlet as a seperate competition alongside too!

  • 6:56 is a scandal waiting to happen

  • Craig's a fantastic host

  • @MultiBattleaxe way better than jeremay clarkson glad clarkson was cut from robot wars :D

  • Sexy Phillipa!!

  • @karatebuff she is so fit!!!

  • does anyone know when hypodisk and chaos 2 come in?

  • series 3

  • @F12Y14N25 series 3

  • @IndianaJoel93 cheers. :)

  • It's funny how tiny the house robots look when you see them in scale. I always thought Sir Killalot was as big as a car!

  • Really? I was always stunned by how large they were I remember thinking there must of been a mistake when I saw TRACIE was 30 cm high the size of a school ruler because it was so low

  • @Headbanger142 Killalot definitley got bigger in later series. Although the stats always said he weighed 280kg, his actual weight in later wars was 520kg.

And in the battle where Mr Psycho got flipped over, all the people trying to right him gave an impression of just how big he was.
