There was a student in my art class who fell asleep nearly every class and snored loudly. The instructor would give us all a ten min break so she could wake her up. Its was funny and we liked the extra break, so we'd all glance at the student from time to time, waiting for her to pass out.

Here's a bit of advice from your mom: Your Asian teacher probably comes from a culture where teachers are revered as semi-gods. You have to educate him.

Gang up on him: For one whole class keep asking questions, all of you, relentlessly. Whenever he makes a spelling mistake - well, that's his prerogative, being from a foreign country. But he must allow you to correct him, so shout out the correct spelling, all of you. That should teach him a lesson.
