This is Oasis' song. This is Noel Gallagher's song. Meant for and sung by Liam. It's withstood the test of time up until this point, of course there's gonna be recreations and changes and what not, and some of them sound good, as this one does, but at the end of the day the best purest form of this song is Noel strumming his guitar and Liam belting out the lyrics. @Sassman10 True. I agree Noel's acoustic play of this is terrific. To quote: "Gallagher said, “I went to see Ryan Adams in Manchester… So he’s playing away and he just does ‘Wonderwall’ right in the middle of the set. The fu**ing place went silent. It was so beautiful. I was just like, ‘Fu**ing Jesus Christ what a fu**ing song!’ Afterwards, I told him, ‘You can have that song, man, because we could never quite get it right".

Oasis are a great band.... sound track to my teenage years... but i love everything ryan does.. I do prefer his version to noels.... The man is genius!!

Ah come on they hve a bunch of great songs. Thing with Oasis is most of their songs are only "great" and rise above mediocre on their live acoustic versions. Dont go away, Slide Away, Stand by Me, Live Forever, Supersonic... etc.

@Jlenectok I agree. Oasis are a fine band, but I didn't really care much for their original album version. For me, the best versions of this, are Noel Gallagher's live acoustic versions, and Ryan Adams' cover, although there are many covers on YT from many people who have made excellent versions of this song. This song sounds better in acoustics really.

@ArtJakeMyan Many thanks indeed. Happy New Year to you also. I would be interested to hear your cover of this. Ryan Adams is an extremely gifted musician, and has crafted some seriously good songs. One of my all time favourite artists. His cover of this song is very thoughtful, emotional and played very well, every time.
