My Palace (aka Super group) stays active...not sure what they mean by dead.....we almost crash the server on freedom, union, and virtue in the game. This game still Boss. ....if you think its dead than your not playing it right ;)

yea if you go to Freedom (anytime), virute (mostly afternoon late evening), or union....you can see most folks hang out there other servers you gotta know folks...guardian its ok i think but other than that those 3 most hang out. I have a sg on all 3 i been playing for 3 years now still love it and play hardcore so its very much alive.

It's not dead... Union is medium populated at certain times, and now the amercia and english servers are merged both virtue and freedom are mediam packed plenty of active 50's as well as lowbies :D just thought i'd mention it cause i was concerned about subscribing if it was really dead.

@kokonugget A lot of folks are in the instanced stuff - the 50s are going through the Incarnate content, and everyone else is running the new TFs, SFs, and other arcs. :) You'll still find folks yapping under the statue, but much more rarely these days.

@kokonugget Yeah and if you go to Pocket D you'll find a hellll of a lot of people :P But those trials are only if you bought Going Rogue which is made up of 2 separate trials and on top of that most heroes are playing in farms :|

They've already confirmed that they're going to add more trials. Their focus is on the incarnate endgame in terms of content. There's plenty of people doing trials, they usually go to the rikti warzone to put them together.

I'm very sorry for this noob question, but what is the demo-editing you're talking about ? It's been years I'm trying to get the player's avatar 3D model, but haven't been successul so far... Can't even open the packed game files with the extractor. :(

@DavidLinkan Demorecord is a spiffy slash command that exists in COH where you can create a text file of everything that happens from the moment you start the recording until you stop. You then can then play it back and record it, and even modify it to do spiffy stuff! If you swing by my channel, look for the playlist 'Making Movies in City of Heroes' and watch the presentation I gave at HeroCon 2008 on how to demoedit.

@SmexyAsianGirls I am still loving CoH and not sure at all if I am getting DCU. 7 years worth of content, much greater variety of costumes, devs who sometimes seem to bend over backwards to please us, and the ability to create any backstory for my char instead of being forced to be a newly-created hero powered by Lex's nano-thingies.

I have nothing against DCU, but really, it doesn't touch CoH for me.

How did you make this? As in how did you get it all crisp looking, programs, etc. And who's that hero with the union Jack helmet?

@Meshehetube I use demo-editing to create the video itself, FRAPS to record, Sony Vegas Movie Studio for film editing and conversion. The hero in the Union Jack outfit is Hero 1 - you normally ever see him in-game looking like death warmed over at the end of the Lady Grey Task Force, but I know a few tricks. :)

@samuraiko So what your saying is... if you wanted to get all the main heroes dancing, you'd get heroes from ingame dance with you, and in the demo you can turn them into the famous heroes?

@Calgarian Yep, that's one way to do it. I've also been known to use my Masterminds, summon my pets, and replace THEM. (I am my own team, hehehe.) Another way is to simply use the /loc command to get coordinates in all the places I need, and just enter them into the code manually. That's the long way.
