The TL-S is not cheaper. In the USA, the price of the 2008 TL Type S 6MT starts at 38k while the G35 Sport 6MT starts at 33k. In Canada both cost the same.
3.5 swap. it was an originally a 3.2 but he blew the motor. found a 3.5 from an RL ans swapped it in. still using the 3.2's ecu and harness, and of course it's an auto since they all were in that generation and there were no type-s yet. maybe u should know more about these cars before u start to argue with someone who does.

I'm not sure if the motor you helped put in your friend's TL is a C35 or J35 but I personally think that the J35 in the first gen MDXs was one of the greatest sounding engines of all time at the redline.
That TL wasn't rice, but it was an old 1st gen with an old first gen RL block in it. Not exactly a fair race to begin with. Go up against a new TL-S or a 2nd gen with supercharger or 3.5 swap and then talk.

The TL-S is not cheaper. In the USA, the price of the 2008 TL Type S 6MT starts at 38k while the G35 Sport 6MT starts at 33k. In Canada both cost the same.

3.5 swap. it was an originally a 3.2 but he blew the motor. found a 3.5 from an RL ans swapped it in. still using the 3.2's ecu and harness, and of course it's an auto since they all were in that generation and there were no type-s yet. maybe u should know more about these cars before u start to argue with someone who does.

or, if you knew anything about the 350z, you could put in the skyline twin turbo... also, hp isnt everything. the stillen supercharger is decent, you have to do a stage three to get 390-410... you'll have to do a little modding to get it to work cuz its designed for the 350z. anyways, still, its a nissan...

unless u get the new g35 specific kit. the supercharger alone isnt all of it. the one im thinkin is 365hp+cai 8hp +headers +10 hp + cat back an high flow cat converter 10+hp. those are preliminary numbers. i no hp aint everything. that g is rwd means better launch. mind u ur tl sounds pretty sweet so dont think im hatin.
