To see where Mike Huckabee stands on the issues visit
If Huckabee weren't a Christian fundie who claims to talk to "god", he might have a chance. But, Americans don't want another president who "talks to god"...at least not the "god" Bush talks to. Huckabee talks to and serves the same "god" as Bush, right? Bush said: "God told me to go free those people in Iraq, so I did." He did? Far as I can see Bush simply dropped bombs on those Iraqis civilians heads. Huckabee supports this behavior.
Spoken like a true Ron paul supporter. Honestly, can you do anything besides tearing down an opponent, perhaps to deflect criticism on Ron Paul ? Lets start with the earmark issue shall we ? I'll let you have the first shot to defend your opponent.
Is that so ? I don't even watch Fox news...I get my information from the Internet. About the earmarks, He puts in earmarks and pork in a bill in congress and then votes against it, knowing it is going to pass anyway. His district is the highest in the state of Texas for recieving federal funds from earmarks.
Yeah, it's kinda a good way to appease the constituents in his district. And when the money does come BACK to his district, Ron Paul considers it a refund on a portion of what the government stole in the first place. If it were left up to ron Paul he;d trash that whole sstem. But while it's there, he'll use it effectively.
That is theft, nothing more, nothing less. That is my taxdollars used to fund earmarks to his congressional district. I don't live nowhere near Texas. if the man had any ounce of ethics he would first off not introduce earmarks and second off, he would not except them. That is not his money he is dealing with, it is the U.S. citizens money he is using.
The government steals from the People and then sends most of OUR money overseas. And you're worried about Ron Paul trying to keep a little at home, where it can be spent in America, by Americans. Most all Congressmen, except for Ron Paul, voted to send Pakistan and a dictator with nukes $10 BILLION!!! Come on, get real. Do some research.
I'm worried about the blatant hypocrisy he has, and whether he would continue this in the Oval Office. You do some research, Your "god" isn't as infallible as you would like to believe. He says one thing and does another when it comes to pork and earmarks.
By that same standard, it is okay for any politician to put in earmarks or pork barrel projects into the bill, right ? we'll hold everyone else to the same standard as Ron Paul. If you don't, that is hypocrisy, the same hypocrisy that Jesus condemned in His day.
Ron Paul put in 65 earmarks worth 400 million dollars for his own congressional district. Many of whom are for trivial items like shrimp fishing, yet voted no on a bill giving federal funds for the victims of hurricane katrina. Where's the compassion ?
I wonder how much the government stole from just those shrimp fishermen alone? I know how much the government steals from my business - enough to where we might as well replace opur business name with "US Government". The one who takes the most profit out of a business is the rightful owner, wouldn't you say? But then, you probably aren;t a business owner?
That was my tax money he used for his district. Anybody with a sense of ethics would not have put earmarks in a bill and then take the money for it. That is stealing from me. To top it off, he then makes a show of voting against it. That is a true hypocrite no matter how you splice it.
I must say, discussion with you has been quite interesting. I've yet to hear you complain about the TRILLIONS that all the other reps, except for Ron Paul and a few other True Patriots, send to communist countries run by dictators.
And as far as Katrina goes, it should be the reps in those areas who get the funds from the government for their states. Actually, it was the Corps of Engineers who were to blame in that disaster.
That is not the point. He voted against emergency federal funding during the disaster area claiming that it was their fault for living on the coastline. There is his compassion for ya. Not very Christlike is it ?
No you haven't, and your sense of ethics is sadly lacking. If any other politician did it you would rail against them, except for your own candidate. Thats called setting a double standard.
ALL other candidates do it...and thus far in our discussion, have you heard me rail against any of them for doing so? This is getting boring to me. I have much more intelligent discussions going elsewhere. get a good nights sleep and maybe try again tomorrow?
Actually yes I did hear you rail against them. You must be sleepy if you forgot just an hour or to ago. Copout. By the way, just because everybody is jumping off a cliff doesn't mean you need to as well.
You just did. Talking about them spending 5 trillion. Saying that everybody else is doing it. If everybody else is doing something wrong, does that mean you can too ?
Same difference. My point is, Ron Paul is committing something unethical and he knows it, instead of apologizing, he is trying to make excuses for it. I know you kind doesn't want to believe that Ron Paul can do no wrong, but the fact is, he's human, like you and me, and will committ acts of sin.
Same difference??? Uhhhhh...you agree that it's okay for the ones who are supposed to be your reps to send TRILLIONS to communist dictators? I agree, sure, Ron Paul is human like you and me, and not without error.
Then tell me, what is Ron Pauls error ? And what communistic dictator did we send the money too ? Did you even research that, or are you repeating some hearsay ? As I said, same difference.
Musaref for one, the dictator of Pakistan. US sent him 10 Billion over the past few years. This was just all over the news a few days ago. Google it. then go see what Ron Paul had to say about it on Fox News YouTube video.
If I recall correctly, Mussharef isn't exactly a dictator yet. If he screws around with the election though, he will be. He is not a communist. Do you even know what a communist is ? We sent him 10 billion in aid for two reasons, someone in debt to you is more likely to listen. And two, and investment, to help catch the terrorists. But we are not talking about him, we're talking about Ron Paul not having any qualms about using federal money for the his district.
As I said, he isn't a dictator yet, but he is dangerously toeing the line. As I said before, we are talking about Ron Paul and his lack of ethics concerning earmarks. If you can't even comprehend that, then you don't need to argue with me anymore.
LOL...all you got is those earmarks, and Paul told the truth about it. I'd suggest you wipe the blood from your hands and eyes so you can then SEE more clearly. Good night:)
Its not the earmarks but his remarks concerning race as well, as his inability to get along with people he disagrees with. You are obviously blinded by your worship of him that you won't even see his faults. Typical of a Ron Paul supporter. At least I know what faults my candidate has.
