I like the idea with the Water I do something similar.I didn't have any space fo ritual when I started back in 04, so I had to be outside I knew that Milk, Lemonade etc were Lunar connected. Z. Budapet isn't Wiccan. I'm not sure if people realize it or not but she was the founder of "Dianic Wicca", save for the fact that it is not recognized as being Wiccan since Z. Budapest was not Wiccan and simply made-up her own thing.

I'm interested in Wicca as well, but Dianic Wicca is not Wicca. In fact, even Wikipedia makes the distinction that Dianic Wicca is not Wicca.

The reason? The religion of Wicca was created by Gerald Gardner. To be able to use the term, one must trace their linneage back to the Gardnerian tradition.

If you are a solitary practioner and follow the teachings of Scott Cunningham and Raymond Buckland, then you are Wiccan as they were initiated into the Gardnerian tradition.

You can go to her channel and view it for yourself. -That's not Wicca.

The spiritual path of Wicca per Gardner, well no, she's not. It's funny that you say Z "simply made-up her own thing"....that is exactly what Gerald Gardner did. Anyone one well learned knows this. Z brought back a wonderful tradition of wimmin only sacred space and honoring the Goddess together. I love it!

I'm right now watching a program on Salem witches and they are also denying that they are Wiccans. They prefer to call themselves Witches. And that's really the term followers of "Dianic Wicca" should use. Drop the Wicca terma and use "Witch". If you don't follow the religion & rules of Wicca, then don't use the name.

I think you need to research the world Wicca a little more because it is clear you're a little in the dark about the etymology. The Wicca/Witch debate has been going for quite some time and it will continue. Oh Trust me I have seen the dark side of life!!! My mom died at 12, my step MOm kicked me out at 16, am on my third marriage (1st 2 were very bad), many many hardships in my life...I just chose to learn from them and move on and not dwell on them! Something good and positvie has always came out of the hard/dark/neg. times in my life. In my practice...I absorb & learn from the neg/dark & radiate the bright and possitive. There is more to me than meets the eye my friend!
