I think it's plenty fast for me. And for people who think it's slow, that's why "mods" are made for! LOL, but i would prefer the 3.5V6. I LOVE the long gears!
How can everyone in the comments consider this anywhere near remotely fast? Its terribly slow for a 3.9L V6... About what you'd expect out of some 'jap crap' 4cyl sedan...
yea my dad has an 07 ltz, pearl white, his is crazy fast though, because it was a demo car, so i think its pushing some extra hp, because its so touchy its insane
thats a good question its a lot of cars out there that look good on outside and have a good engine that arent sellin and they are lowerin the price downon most of em just browse some cars ull see ONE EXAMPLE IS A CHRYSLER SCORRSIFRE DECENT ENGINE BEAUTIFUL ON THE OUSIDE CHEAP LIKE 12- 16K
I do not think i have heard of a scorrsfire?? Do you mean crossfire or sebring?? crossfire is discontinued. To me, Chrysler is at the bottom for style.
@carmandan14 300C's are nice, and they own Jeep, but other then that Chrysler isnt that great I agree. The Crossfire was also spanked by the Saturn Sky and Pontiac Solstice for little 2 door fun karts.
This is my 5th W body vehicle from GM and it is the best transmission in the platform i've experianced. And its the smoothest one too for a 4 speed...I bought it a year ago and I have 38,000 miles.
I've got 23,700 miles on mine and my warranty just ran out. My transmission slips, shifts very hard and grinds gears. I hate to say this, note my name, but this car is absolute garbage. It's having steering problems again even though I had the p/s pump and hoses, rack and pinion and belt, pullies and tensioner replaced under warranty. I baby this car rediculously, ask my friends and family and I'm still getting this. Now, I have to trade it in and get a new car and it might be an '09 Focus S NO!
Yikes! I have never heard of that before...Do you have the 3.9 or 3.5 or 5.3 and what year is it. shouldn't your warranty be 3/36000? whats a matter with the steering?
It's a 2006 LT with the 3.5. The warranty ended in September. The power steering cuts in and out at will, changes feel and makes something under the hood scrape sometimes. My transmission may fail soon, so I've parked the car in the garage until we can trade it instead of driving it and having the tranny go and the car not worth anything. Hopefully I'll be able to get an '09 Malibu instead of a Focus. If yours starts acting up, consider my story; I'm not the only one. Google Impala trouble.
Oh yes, by a lot! I had a 2005 Buick Lacrosse with the 3.6 DOHC and I averaged around 25 MPG. On my new Impala I average 28.5 MPG! I am amazed by the difference of the cylinder deactivation.
yeah the new stylin in those cadillacs and saturn skylines are nice they cost extra id rather get a car on the outside that looks like a cadillac cts but have a fuel effecient engine that gets over 30+ mpg thats where theyre screwin up
haha i like how the instant eco goes from 42 too 2

I got it for around 25k in fall of 07. It was a new 08 LTZ but GM had a good rebate. I love the car, I travel a lot and its cruises wonderfully.

is that a 2008?
stickdriver55 3 years ago
Yes a 2008 LTZ 3.9L
carmandan14 3 years ago
Impalas actually are fast, videos don't do them justice. My LT gets 32mpg at 70mph and accelerates excellently.
GeneralMotorsRules 3 years ago
do you have the 3.9 w/ AFM? I do and at 70 my instant shows, about 32-33MPG. I average 28.1. What do you get?
carmandan14 3 years ago
No, I have the 3.5 flexfuel. At 70mph on a 60 mile trip I averaged 34 mpg. Great car, I love my impala.
GeneralMotorsRules 3 years ago
yeah GM MOTORS are decent just the cars they make dont LOOK SO WELL ON THE OUTSIDE
legendofspades2004 3 years ago
Are you not a fan of the new CTS V. OR the new Malibu. Or maybe the Enclave. I see what you mean with the impala, but what about the newer stuff??
