And I hope the Chinese who are fortunate to visit the freww world and see the difference know the reason. Hey, do you realize if you were in Tibet you wouldn't even be allowed to watch Youtube or have this discussion or even gather in a public place with more than a few people. Tibetans aren't really free- and neither are the Chinese. The Chinese have financial opportunity, but it is at the expense of freedom, as made clear by Deng Xiaoping, 20 years ago. Free them all!

I LIVE IN CHINA.I'm in the US visiting family, and the difference is obvious.Youtube, Facebook and most blogs are banned in China.Look it up. You can't organize without government consent. I've been living near and traveling around the Tibetan part of Sichuan.The oppression is so obvious.Last week I watched 4 SWAT teams and many of armed vehicles patrol the small Tibetan city of Kangding.The US isn't nearly perfect,but there aren't tanks &army whenever I go down the street&I am free to protest.

I've haven't lived here long but I've traveled here a few times and I've been to Beijing, Shanghai, Anhui, Wuhan, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guangxi. Who cares. Yes, I know much of the history of China, especially the past 100 years,and I always try to get an unbiased opinion, which you can't get from TV or history books.
