Damn, dude - you're amazing!!! I learned so much from this video - you really know how to explain it well, too. Now my left hand is so sore I'm having trouble typing this comment :)
@Zerathul7 i just use the podxt and download some satriani patches from the line6 site. the pickups are EMG active pickups as well, plus some tone comes from the player :)
Hey great lesson I absolutely love and agree with the guy who said its the best Satriani style lesson I have also been looking and I also bought a PodXt cause of your other video and let me tell you my digitech is in the box LOL. I love my PodXt you have just earned a new subscriber your an excellent teacher.
Hey man i was looking around on youtube for some satriani style solos and i found your video. Dude this song (and lesson) are just amazing!!! Very natural and warm sound with some cool licks. Definitely the best lesson and one of the most beautiful things i´ve ever heard. Congratulations !!!
@pheervegas thanks! i use a line6 podxt with the Satch Forgotten patch available on line6 website but the amp model is ms-deity lead, cabinet 4x12 green 25's, screamer distortion, stereo delay, rich chamber reverb. guitar has EMG active pickups.
@Kaitano94 the battery can last years since it doesn't draw much power. Having said that make sure you unplug the cable from the guitar as leaving it in seems to drain it more quickly
@guitaristman23 no you can pick some notes - you generally have to when you play on a new string, unless you use what I talked about hammering on from nowhere on a new string.
@Joskun yes the way I teach it is 5 major scale shapes (key of C) which is also the same for all the modes (same notes just different starting note). great thing is these are movable shapes for other keys, and the human brain is good at recognizing/remembering shapes
