@EXplosiveTurul The E2D does not strobe. However, SureFire does offer a few models that do (very few - like, three). The cheapest of these is Z2-S LED CombatLight.
For a strobing light, I would recommend (note: don't own any of these, but I do know a decent bit about them - good reputations): Elzetta ZFL-M60; InForce 6VX (one will be delivered to me tomorrow! Woohoo!); InForce 9VX; HDS Systems Lights; etc.
@TheCrushmaster Thanks a lot man! I have looked into a whole bunch, but just got my Surefire G2X Pro in yesterday. I got it in a dark tactical yellow, to see easier in the dark, so I will probably not be posting it on my gun; however, I have seen the Ultrafire 8c, and that looks good, just for the strobe. Obviously Ultrafire is not the best, though I could use a small strobe for my MP7. Thanks again for the advice, and God speed!
I LOVE this flashlight. I have had this one for 2 years, it lights up the trees at the end of my 3 acre field perfectly at night-(great for when the neighbors decide to shoot at 1:00 in the morning) and also with it's strike bezel adds a little sense of security.
The only 2 problems I have is that the belt clip is shitty, too small and comes loose very quickly, and the black finish wears off around the bezel and clip.
I once dropped it on a tile floor, and they had to replace the TILE. :D
Accurate demo. The beam is not quite as sealed as my triggered LED spot. They both light up the back side of my garden, some 200 yards or more. I've had mine for well over a year until Wed, May 20, 2011 when it was stolen while a new battery was being installed in my pickup at Walmart. Of course, they opt out with a no-responsibilty sign for the sleaze they hire. I simply forgot to take it out. The battery was $70 cheaper than my Defender. I'll have to treat everyone as if they're thieves, :-(
Hey can anybody tell me, will this handle being on an AR15? I had a smaller surefire on my AR and it blew up inside after about 3 mags . Is is pretty shock proof?
@SupraTuned This will absolutely hold up on an AR 15. It is Identical internally to the Scout light which is designed specifically for use on the AR and other Assault rifles. You wont have any issues. And you should tell surefire about the other light that "blew up" they will definitely replace it since all of there light are supposed to handle weapon mounting
@SuicidePie Oh wow, thanks for the response man. Yeah, the whole area where the light is has glass or plastic rolling around in it. I never dropped it or anything. I just noticed it when I was out shooting one day. Then it would not turn on. I plan on contacting them, but I am going to buy this one as well.
@SuicidePie It broke? Oh man, that doesnt make me feel that great. I ordered mine yestaurday, green gas version, and hopefully i wont need to make to many upgrades.
Do these lights strobe, or do you have to buy a certain type?
