To be honest, I'm glad these two aren't all over each other with kisses every chance they get. It shows that their relationship isn't based on any form of lust or sexual temptation and that their care for each other runs deep. It's great that they sometimes act like best friends (best friendship usually lasts way longer than serious relationships). Not only that, but now we get something to look forward to. If they kissed in every episode, it'd get pretty boring, pretty fast.

It's not really just because it's in American but more because it's daytime (in America). There have been a lot of American shows where gay couples have kissed plenty of times. Daytime is just a wee bit more conservative in that way.

While I believe that the show being on daytime tv has something to do with it (the lack of a kiss at the GOODBYE scene I mean), part of me believes in the obvious logic that they didn't kiss because Luke's parents were right THERE. I mean, watching a peck on the lips between the two wouldn't hurt Lily or Holden, but come on... do you feel comfortable kissing your bf/gf while your parents watch on? Besides, while it went unshown, they likely DID kiss in the earlier scene.

Because it's day-time television. Luke and Noah were the first gay kiss ever on daytime TV. So, it was a risky move on the shows part, but a good move. It is understandable that they do not want to like have them make out all the time since it is a sensative issue--gays 'n' all.

i'm kind of mixed on this. yeah it was great that they introduced a main character who was gay and eventually found someone but you don't ever see them kissing or even having sex. it took them like 2 years to see them have sex and i can't count the few kisses they were given in comparison to all of the straight stuff going on. i do have to applaud that they eventually listened to the fans and added more kissing but not sure about the sex since i'm a new watcher.
