When Apple started up they prided themselves on the fact that they were an open system. You could upgrade all your components at home. Now they make it impossible for you to alter it what so ever. They screwed it up, and now PC is open to the world.

If anyone ever bothered looking at PCworld's Mac vs PC article, you can clearly tell that it was biased. They benchmarked different laptops ranging from UMPCs to "high end" laptops. The Macbook Pro in that benchmark had the HIGHEST level of specifications, there's no doubt the Mac would run Windows faster.

@dunlrock first off you can base any argument on biased articles written 2 years age, second i will update you on laptops of this generation my current laptop is a asus g-series that cost me 1079 new. i checked to see how much it would cost to get even a comparable mac-book and it will cost you 2600 to come close to my laptop. So if you choose the mac you are paying 1600 for 3 hours of battery life.

@Ferravaag yes you have seen BSOD 5 times :D and let me see, I have never seen a software fail in Mac OS X - and really, 2-3 times aday isn't much if you are using the system, like trying to speed up the system - but I can play as much as I want with OS X and if I make a failure, then restart the OS and it will generate the files again :D Often BSOD comes with drivers, like forgot to update drivers and so - there is 1 driver to each part for windows in mac, aka they can't fail :D

@sharmy1234 responding to one of your earlier comments, i'd just like to say that all of your comments are more or less defunct because you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. vista doesn't fail as much on a mac as it does on windows? vista IS windows. and technically speaking, it would be more likely to fail on a mac because of the emulated bios. the largest reason (85%) of BSODs is because of badly programmed 3rd party software. NOTHING is wrong with windows.

Ok steal is a harsh word, but we all know Steve Jobs bought stocks from Xerox, and that in return Xerox gave Apple some of the tehcnology to build a GUI. The point is that the GUI is not an Apple invention, so in effect Windows never copied off Apple, so everyone who thinks that is true can go research and read the facts for themselves.
