  • 8:51 - 9:13

  • BRAVO! BRAVO!

    Page é um grande mestre!

  • Led Zeppelin are the best group.

  • it's mind boggling to think how good Jones was on keys..yet how little he actually utilized that on their albums

  • Jonesy was their secret weapon.

  • He wasn't a secret :)

  • Then....the...uh...

    Heavy Artillery?

  • He was the glue to their paper.

He was the rhythm, he kept them all in sync.

  • Any way you put it,

He's still a bad ass musician.

  • Yeah man, got that right.

  • @MinistryMario ..and Bonzo

  • Waou!

    %)

    TX YOU!

  • it almost seems like page has played the songs over and over soooo many times that he is trying to figure out what else he can put to it. cause as a player once you play a song so long you just end up running out of things to play to the rhythm, but i must say. jonesy is a very under rated musician!

  • Pages Guitar work is hairy on this...the tone is awesome! WOW thank you for posting! Love it!!

  • I heard this song now i can die in peace

  • me too^^

  • Really nice ending from 8:50 by Jones!

I read that he used to play organ in church as a kid ... I wonder how much 'classical' he can play. It would have been cool if he had interjected some Bach organ pieces into other songs or maybe some Rachmaninov or Debussy into something like this where piano was used.

I know they would often incorporate themes from Holst's 'the Planets' (from 'Mars')into Dazed and Confused and Page often played a snippet from Bach's Lute Suites (the bouree).

  • Ya in HeartBreaker Jimmy plays Bouree in E minor, its really awsome.

  • JPJ often put classical stuff in his no quarter solo, check out the 2nd night from cleveland 1977

  • I will do that. Thanks for letting me know.

  • I heard quite a few epic live versions of this song and in each of them, Jones solos were magnificent.

I agree that this might be the best version, although I also rememeber one where he played the piano almost "sacral" for at least 10 minutes, too. I think the version was about 26 min. long in toto.

Oh, and there is another live version from the "Destroyer" in 1977...about 20 min. Again, mind-blowing stuff.

  • This is so amazing, wish I had a chance to be on their concert!

  • cant forget radiohead's johnny greenwood either, he plays drums, keyboard, insane guitar, and does all the digital stuff as well.

  • I heard that one time JPJ played a bit of every classical piece he knew and the song lasted for an hour and a half. I only wish I couldv'e been there...

  • I would have to say this is the second best performance of this song.right behind the one in seattle.quite impressive.jpj is a great pianist.i never really realized how much he contributed to the band.he is no doubt the greatest multi instrument player in the history of music

  • Hmmm I was thinking theres got to be someone else, you know Page sings, plays drums and bass, hes one of those guys, you should listen to his song where he lays down all the tracks, im just to lazy to find it but maybe someone else here can tell you what the name of it was... some session song

  • "She Satisfies" ;)

Page played almost everything, except drums :)

  • Page is a decent bass player, but he's not amazing at it. His singing abilites are nothing to talk about. and he personally prefers "She Just satifies" is "best left forgotten.." His Instrument is guitar and he is damn good at it.

-Although, He is also one of the greatest music producers of the era. His attention to perfection is wonderful :)

  • When one is doing what God intended "Jimmy Pages" happen. This man wasnt supposed to be an accountant.Since Ive been Loving you has physically, mentally and spiritually effected me for 30 years. He is a God..and yes..should never sing.

  • My assumption is the Seattle concert referred to is in 1975 - in that case I definately agree. In fact, in my opinion Seattle 1975 is the best live Zeppelin I ever heard (For Badge Holders Only is up there too). But until I heard the Seattle

'75 version of No Quarter, I always thought this May 24 Earls Ct version was the best. I used to have this on a vynle bootleg and am so glad to have it back again!

  • Brian Jones could play more instruments than John Paul Jones, But I think JPJ has more knoledge of each instrument he plays :)

  • Love the little riff JPJ plays at 8:18, and Jimmy and Bonzo pick up on it immediately. Very cool.

  • Best performance of this song ever. Period.

  • amazing guy !! rock on JPJ !

  • John Paul Jones, so fucking talented.
