I have such a massive bitch of a time unloading stored fireballs mid-combo. I could do it 100 times in a row and never get it to work. Its so weird because I don't have issues doing like any other combos, just ones with stored fireballs. They always disappear

ok so I'm having lots of trouble fighting aggresive ruffus players, they dive kick to low punches and repeat it, they get me in a lot of pressure, any idea on how to get out of that pressure?

@DanceInTheDark23 I do not main her, no. But I do have some knowledge of the character. I've stuck with my true main of Sagat, and I now play Viper/Honda as my other 2 characters. If you have a question though feel free to post up and I'll answer it to the best of my ability.

@jp299 I actually did this tutorial on my pad, haha. If need be, switch your buttons around. I had switched my HP with my LK button, and my X3 punch button with my MK button. Since i was only on pad for a very very short time I didn't stick with it, (was only on pad 'cause my stick was broken) but it worked just fine. Granted I was an ultra 2 user over an ultra one, so keep that in mind.

Okay, question. Maybe you can help me with this. Sometimes when I'm losing, I button mash. I do this thing but I don't know the name, it's not in the book or on her command list... What is the name of that one move she does where she does her taunt but then there's blue and purple shit in the air and she moves through the opponent? And how do you do it?

@WidowOfLaPorte : The counter? You do that with a quarter circle back and any punch, or a combination of any two punches. :)

The inputs for the combos (as they come out blazingly fast!) would be very helpful. Or even some of the BnB ones.

I'm currently not using the BnB ones as I find them not very damaging compared to MK + Senpusha - but I can definitely see their value as they come out very fast and minimalize risk! (their timing is difficult !) I'd better visit the SRK forums more!

loving this. I'm already I'd honestly judge myself as an intermediate player (C+ - B territory) w/ my Juri just from self trial and error due to there being no tuts out on Juri, so this is a god send to fill out my game with the strings and hit confirms I was missing..its weird cause alot of what you went over in the video, I found out on my own :) alot of people online are not playing Juri to her strengths, she's really beastly when played correctly...

Great video! It would've been nice if the video specified that c.lk / c.lp, st. lp, c. mp only works on standing. Also, I feel that (1) c. lk, cl. st. lk, c. mp / c. mk xx pinwheel (2) c. mk, lk fuhajin release, c. hk (3) c. mk, lk fuhajin release, c.mk, hk pinwheel could've made into the BnB section.

I think it's a worthy beginners guide, but like a lot of these guides it relies too heavily on jump ins for combos and damage.

altough some moves are high risk and will only work ocasionally in a match

like the focus Lp dash and then other moves at 3:29, i mean come on i dont see anybody falling for that... every day that passes on juri is being figured out,

i liked the C HP FACD, seems interesting, and the FSE i think it still on itls early stages, is a good ultra to use on the exact moment, i never do it when im far from the other player, i usit usually when he gets dizzy,

As for the stuff at 3:29, it's more or less just another tool in your belt, you know? In the pressure of a tournament match, some people are more likely to be fooled with stuff that isn't commonly seen and be caught off guard. I understand what you're saying though, I wouldn't do it all the time.

@AkumaHokoru I don't think it's a troll video, he has a lot of good ideas but doesn't *always* use the right if he used the right moves/specials. Some of the stuff isn't practical even though it seems to do good damage. The biggest problem I had with the video is how jumping mp wasn't even mentioned. It provides so many opportunities it's not even funny. Mixup, check; leads into ultra, check; variety of damaging punishes, check; can be used after ex dive kick, check. List goes on.

I'm sorry but this guide is very wrong. Everyone is praising it but alot of this shit will get you killed. standing jab as a blockstring poke? C.hp is primary AA? ex pinwheel in the bnb? do you see how far that puts her from the opponent? what is pressure? for the chars juri has to rush you NEVER want to let them get that far away and you wont be landing the 2 fireball combos on someone who isnt dizzy especially considering the mk fireball can be ducked by most of the cast. (another post coming)

@AkumaHokoru Juri's cr.HP is an amazing anti-air. And FSE is essentially a Custom Combo - it causes normals to cancel recovery on other normals. I think you're being too quick to judge a genuine attempt to help the community. I agree that there are some things that could be done better, but overall it's a good video.

@psnSnakeAes Amazing at trading or losing outright. her c.hp is her most situational AA anyone who can change their trajectory mid air will shit all over juri for sticking that out. and FSE is NOT A CUSTOM COMBO It lets her do darkstalker magic series and combo off her overhead. anything else she gets she could do already pretty much. if they know how to block fse is useless. most people will just run from juri till FSE wears off juri is terrible at chasing. alot of things are wrong here. Sorry.

@AkumaHokoru : Read the vid description. I left some things out purposely because I wanted to keep the file size and time limit down. J. MP is a very very obvious move that any Juri should be using, and is pretty common/easy to figure out how good it is. Plus I could have made an entire video just on that alone, hence the reason I left it out. If there's enough demand and enough new info I'll consider making a part 2.

As a note, would've been useful to include the combo notes (or a link to the combo thread), I could read the combos from the video, but someone just starting with Juri might not recognize all the moves.

Very good work, I wish I'd had this when I started Juri. Its nice to see others have come up with some of the same tricks.

The start was very clever, taking the part from the intro movie where Juri is having a hard time with Chun-li and Cammy. I really liked the way you showed how to counter some of the harder attacks, although the Sagat retaliation might be a bit advanced for a beginner.

Wow, thats amazing to me already! Say, do you think that someone can play Juri effectively using the ps3 pad? You know, 'cause storing fireballs and comboing in FSE is kind of a drag when using that controller...any tips?

@PainofRazeration Yes sir. You can use a custom layout. Set the shoulder buttons to be your kicks to store fireballs, and set your other 4 face buttons for your 3 punches, and maybe one for a focus attack. ;)

I use default layout for now, but you can experiment with whatever works. :)
