If my Doc says it's ok it's not their place to lecture me on anything. People piss me off because they think I'm just getting loaded all the time.. but when you're a mess and you build up a tolerance there is not "getting high" at all. Hang in there bud.
4 years I paid 90.00 a month , 195.00 now so I have no phone at home and Ieat more rice and beans than anything . You see I cannot work because the hate of those who only see the abuse . If I could get 2/1/2 times the medicine I do now I could work . Dr. Kevorkian helped some get enough pain meds . The D.E.A.intervened , cut them off and several shot themselves.

I cannot afford a pain clinic because the pressure from the D:E:A; that caused them to come into existence have made it so. My personal doctor is limited on how much medicine he can give me so I have about 2 weeks a month when I have about 1/2 the medicine I need in the form of the 30mg oxys and I can bear the pain somewhat, the rest of the month all I have is low dose {for me} morphine that keeps the withdrawals at bay and takes away a small percentage of the pain, perhaps 25-30% . continued

What's the difference between this and a liquor store? There should be stores like this in every city in the world except you shouldn't need a prescription and they should sell all drugs. I lived in Maine for close to 20 yrs and an accident left me with 6 compressed vertabrae in my neck and 7staples in my head to hold the skin in place over the fracture. I went without proper trtmt for almost 5 years until I finally moved to Florida, got on a proper dosage, then moved to Colorado once I could walk without pain in order to finish college. I'm young so drs think i'm not in bad shape, thank god doctors in Florida and some other states take your WORD.

I was injured by a drunk driver and have pain from a condition which makes an operation too risky for the potential benefits. After relocating from one state to another, it took me 5 months to get my P.M. back on track because doctors are scared of drug abusers and even with my MRI and other documents from the Government I couldn't find a doctor willing to conform to my established dosage.

I lived in Maine for close to 20 yrs and an accident left me with 6 compressed vertabrae in my neck and 7staples in my head to hold the skin in place over the fracture. I went without proper trtmt for almost 5 years until I finally moved to Florida, got on a proper dosage, then moved to Colorado once I could walk without pain in order to finish college. Do you realize why that pharmacy exists!?! Because people in Maine, Mass, NH, VT, Tn, KY, Ar,VA, etc are tired of searching for doctors who will treat their real chronic pain decide to drive to Florida for a resolution. The dea can make Florida as hard as this bitch's tits to get "roxys" and Jack up the price per mg to 2 or 3 dollars in other states, making the dealers more and restricting patient access MORE.

These pain-management-abusing pieces of shit should be put up against the wall and executed. Period. I was injured by a drunk driver and have pain from a condition which makes an operation too risky for the potential benefits. After relocating from one state to another, it took me 5 months to get my P.M. back on track because doctors are scared of drug abusers and even with my MRI and other documents from the Government I couldn't find a doctor willing to conform to my established dosage.

good, short and on point...this is a national crisis and we (Florida) are a national embarrassment...there is no shortage of legitimate pain doctors for legitimate pain patients, even the ones without insurance...you can pay cash there (a thinly veiled drug dealing outfit) or a real doctor who wants to help...btw, the Government os to blame as they have know about this problem for years and have done nothing to solve it...

I think i would be more concerned with the 1000's of people that don't speak english and are sucking tax money out of your paycheck for medicaid. I don't blame that pharmacy a bit for doing what they are doing. Legalize drugs, and treat addiction. 90% of the drug crimes are caused b/c addicts can't get what they need. We have a 10 trillion dollar national debt and we're spending 80 billion a year on a useless war on drugs.

Now the government have even managed to link the so called "war on drugs" with terrorism. The lame attempt is to make us believe if we use opium based drugs we are helping the Taliban finance terrorism. Gee, I wonder what the body count for US servicemen per pill is L0L ? The funny thing is some people buy in to this propaganda. It's amazing what people will believe & do in the name of patriotism & religion.

Someone mentioned flagging Shirley's post which would not be fair. As much as I disagree with Shirley's view on oxy's & pain clinics. She has a right to her opinion. The 1st amendment gives everyone a right to air their opinions. It's just too bad we don't have an amendment that allows us to buy oxy's with no more restrictions than beer & liquor.

shirley just for the record, that pharmacy unless you had viable proof, could sue you, what exactly is your problem with roxies anyway, you know for people who dont abuse them we despise those that do dont get me wrong i even think your way off on your street price, i know in nj my cousin sells half his script for 20 a 30 mg roxie...and in hernando county unless you buy a whole script or pay for someones doctor the lowest ur paying is 8, usually 10

Who cares if people come from out of state to get drugs. You have way too much time on your hands lady. Just wait until you become a chronic pain suffer you're opinion will change in a hurry. I never thought I would end up in pain managment but I did because of back trouble. Do you really want the DEA to be your doctor & decide rather or not you get pain meds because that's what it's about to come down to. Why do you trust our government so much?

@Vipguy2003 I never thought I would go from coaching & owning a gymnastics school to pain management either, I don't want the DEA being MY doc, the government isn't involved in other branches of medicine, can you see the government telling docs what to do with their patients in any other branch of medicene? They don't belong in pain management anymore than they do neurology!!!!

Maybe states need a "database" to show if a guy bought a fifth of Vodka at a liquor store and then walked down the street and bought a 12 pack of Budweiser at Safeway. Maybe he's an Alocoholic! Gov't should know right away! Why are people tripping on people with small drug habits when about 20% of the nation are alcoholics. Alcohol is way more destructive to society than all the Pharmaceutical drugs combined. Alcohol causes people to be violent and is detrimental to society and health..

Booze and Cigarettes do more harm to America than Oxy, Heroin, Cocaine and Meth. Alcohol and Smokes kill more people, ruin more marriages, break up more families and cause more violence than all the "illegal" drugs ever could. We have become brainwashed since the so called "War on Drugs" began. I'd rather be around someone dependant on Oxy than be around an Alcoholic any day of the week...
Cigarettes kill more people than Alcohol and drugs combined. It's a shame, but live and let live!

whats your problem ? the pharmacies dont sell them for 5 a piece try 1.40 to 1.90 depending on the brand. and the street price for 30mg oxycodone is 10 not 7. i live down the street from that pharmacy
