  • Nice video but just wanna make sure about this one. Is there a possessive pronoun for the personal pronoun it?

  • @Jezinwest21 - Yes, it's "its," but it isn't used very often because a thing or an animal rarely possesses the capacity for ownership. However....

"A job well done is its own reward," and "My two-year-old iMac can't run Starcraft II because its memory is limited," and "That poor bird has broken its wing." So, yes, there is a possessive pronoun for "it."

  • @ComoEstas15 -- Well, I think they're both good to learn. I like British English, but I'm American. To speak like a Brit would make me sound foolish. However, I've read a lot of British literature because it's helpful for vocabulary development.

Europeans generally favor British English. People who do a lot of business with the U.S. generally prefer American English.

  • Thanks, teacher. I'm an English teacher in Brazil and I got happy to discover I usually give a similar explanation to possessive adjectives. For us, Brazilians, it's particularly difficult the use of his / her.
