The goalie in this video turns his legs to wrong side. When the shot is fired from the right side(seen from goalie), left leg should cover the back corner.
@Zcni If the offence decides to pass the ball and not to shoot, its more easier to dive and cover the shot if your left knee is covering the post like in this video. You just need to move more out from the goal to cover all corners.
@mark187ist Ok, it depends on the situation. In 2 against 1 attack the defender should take the passing lane and leave the shot to the goalie. 2 against 0 is whole different thing and you´re right, it´s easier to dive when your legs are like in the video. But isn´t that right that good goalkeepers never dive.. :) In Finland goalies usually are teached to play like I descibed earlier. Of course, there´s as much effective saving techniques and styles as goalies. Remember Dominik Hasek.. :)
