What about the obscene amount of language files you do not need, also removing the apps from the screen does not remove them from the hard drive. I you are going to install an antivirus software other than the trial version that came installed , you will first have to remove it prior to installing your new version, the video should have been a little more complete.
just format the whole system anew right from the start with your custom created best windows installation (you know, you add the programs and drivers you use most). With windows 7 its even quicker to do a fresh installation then hunting these shit.
And they'll remove the crapware at the store for $20?
That's like going to buy a new car, only to discover that someone has squatted over the driver's seat and dropped a massive deuce there. The dealer says, "For $20, I'll clean that up for you."
Very good video, although I do recommend that you re-install your OS immediately when you get it, So you can get rid of all that crap and start fresh.
@cmonutube Just put the Backup windows CD that came with your new computer into your computer and re-install window and tada all the bloatware is gone
@hitman7112 You no longer get a disc with PC's any more, they use a recovery partition on the hard drive that you're supposed to burn to DVD's when you get the system. Cheeky bastards eh? Oh, and it isn't even a simple Windows install either, it's a restore option that puts it back to factory defaults, i.e. all the crap that it comes with is also included in this recovery. It's very rare to get an OS disc from OEM's these days apart from maybe smaller companies, not your HP and Dell's etc.
@TalesOfWar Wow had no ideo?!?!? I bought my dell inspiron 1545 a year ago and it came with a Backup disk....yes they are bastards if what your telling me is true with every new computer
and hard drive was partitioned very crappy way too, so i just repartitioned it and reinstall os. no crap survived ;-)

@hitman7112 thank you, what about something like a netbook that doesn't have a cd drive?
cmonutube 1 year ago
@cmonutube For that use a windows.ISO file, with software that simulates a cd/dvd drive.

Thanks for the insight. These days it is more common to do a reinstall for properly cleansing the PC hard drive.
