It's the deception of the dotted-eighth-note delay (which Nuno uses when he plays it too!) It's an old delay trick used by the likes of The Edge/U2 ("The Streets Have No Name") Eddie Van Halen ("Cathedral") and countless others I'm sure.

The result of this delay setting is that you play straight eighth-notes, and straight sixteenth-notes come out!

Bottom Line is: He isn't faking, it's just not as hard to play as you thought - LOL!

Why does everyone have to use delay and only strum 8th notes? I can play it without delay by strumming 16th notes, and then play that at double speed. (32nd notes).

How the song is written, for a bumble bee effect. It's quite difficult playing it properly and in time considering its 200bpm and not playing it perfectly means you're out of sync and it will sound shitty.

delay should be set around 200ms, single repeat, at 100% level. It's a cool trick that Nuno does to actually incorporate the prior note's delay into a sequence of notes that gets played afterwards - the toughest part is getting down the timing.

Great job on this solo. One BIG suggestion in general though. Practice keeping you fingers MUCH closer to the strings. They're flying all over the place now. That wastes time and energy. If you fix this you will be cleaner and faster.
