Palm Pre - Time lapse camcorder application

I think alot of people would want this. Not just for fun, but it would be useful! You should just release it as homebrew, then once you recieve enough downloads put it in the app store.

They already have the "time lapse" ability on the pre. just hold down Spacebar in the camera app :)

the pre would need a whole different camera for video shooting. Otherwise, there would have been a video camera app for the iPhone AGES ago. Sorry :(

It does seem like a weird move by palm. I mean, the iPhone can UPLOAD to YouTube. I would use that all the time if the pre could do that lol.

I have a video camera for doing that kind of thing with, so I'm definitely going to keep mine.

I do find this video very cool though. I like how it shows the dogs walking in stop motion :P

Well I dont know why people would come up with their own logic and say things arent going to happen. The pre is run by linux therefor the camera can be upgraded to have camcorder capabilities and will according to Palm. So hopefully you havent gottin rid of it yet. The release date for this update was set for today (july 22nd), whether or not it arives today... well we'll see.

I had the first palm phone through sprint, cant remember the name but it was all gray and what not. Then I got the treo 300, handspring visor, treo 600, 650, 700, 750, centro.

its all to come. This should be the last phone you will need for a while. I have been using nothing but treo for 6yrs i think. And I would never want to switch to CraoBerry. Since its linux based, its capabilities are endless. I have over 20 apps on my phone sprint doesnt support including tethering, a translator, a bunch of games, paint, an app to change text tones and more. Its hard to wait for the goodies to come, but they are coming.

It's called "hold the space bar". Seriously. Try it. (Go into the camera function and hit the space bar on the keyboard to take the pic. To take multiples HOLD the space bar. When you want to stop... let it go.)

Don't think there is an API to do that yet. The still camera is so fast that you can take a bunch of stills like this in a row.
