  • I subscribed for my mom, cause she loves learning to paint.

    And now i'm addicted to : O

  • do you have to use rice paper?

  • @MsPinklover1997 No, you don't have to use rice paper. You can use napkins to paint on. I am just kidding.:-) Yes, I use absorbent paper such as Xuan rice paper or mulberry paper only for this kind of painting, known as sumi-e(ink painting) or Chinese brush painting.

  • omg :o this is awesome, i want to learn but i keep failing so badly! im super talented using pencil but to do what ur doing is hard, how long did it take u ?

note: i learn by myself and through utube l)

  • @anonymousgirl1234567 Pencil drawing is good foundation for other arts including Chinese brush painting. Please watch "My 7 Sources of Inspiration - a Self-Introduction of Henry Li" for more info about my painting experiences.

  • that's so pretty :D..... i love it so much. 15/5!

  • great

  • So good to see expert brush work. Some of these critics have no idea what they are seeing; kind of like a child trying to correct the architecture of a cloud. They have no context..... Should keep their eyes open and comments to themselves until old enough to have a mature opinion.

  • it's amazing but it was very beautiful without the grass ..great job

  • Wow!! :-O amazing! Now thats the art of using a brush!! Beautiful!

  • @MominaJawad Thank you!

  • what did you write in japanese? (or chinese) in the bottom left hand corner

  • @HappyBeer11 既已廔主 "Jiyilou" is my studio name and "zhu" means host. I use it as my artist pen name since I was in college.

  • hi is rice paper exactly like shoji paper(unryu paper)? and I never used this paper but I love the effects. How would I display it if I was to frame it? Im only asking because it seem the paper is so transparent therefore Im assuming whatever the painting is standing agianst will appear easy. would u suggest somthing for this? or is there a commong method usded for this to frame? or just a white backing board? thnks heaps:) -----great work:)

  • @dishy200 I guess you have found your answer from my other videos on dry mounting with silicone paper. The rice paper I used here much thinner then shoji which is used on Japanese screen. There are many many kinds of rice paper please visit our website to see at BlueHeronArts(.)com.
