  • wish I had been a Cowboy...we love you Dan, God rest your soul....

  • this song brings tears to my eyes every time i play it. My husband has the most two beautiful lil cowgirls there ever was. After his divorce thier mother decide to keep them away from him. He tought them both to ride starting at the age of two. Now 8 and 10, they are both involed in every horseshow there is. Our oldest will by compenting in lincoln her in a few months, we are soooooooooooo proud. We love you Myah and Macy no matter what you are told WE never left you but where kept away from you

  • My Kasey & Jason is also getting married next month March 31, 2012 to a guy that is head over hills in-love with her. Watch their video Jason and Kasey. She's everything Brad Paisley

  • I know that her dreams will come true to be a nurse because she always accomplishes what she sets her mind out to do. I am so very proud of her. Continued..

  • I know one thing for sure, he lost out on something more precious than any silver or gold, she is my jewel and my angel and she made my life more richer than any silver or gold could every do.I am so very blessed and I love her so much. She has gone to college and now works in an operating room as a surgical technician and started back to school to be a nurse but had to put it on hold until she can afford to go back. CONT..

  • Our lives was just like the song, "Her birthday came and he never even called." I shed many tears for her. It is heart breaking to feel that your child has been denied and rejected. I think that it bothers me, more than her because she was loved doubled by everyone in her life. Her father was a very, very wealthy man and a very, very selfish man.. but my Kasey turned out just fine without him.

  • I was pregnant when my baby's father and I had broken up 25 years ago, I broke down and cried every time I would hear this song because I knew that he would not be a part of her life. When I heard the little girl's name in this song, I knew that this was going to be my daughters name. The name felt like it had been sent down from heaven just for her.....CONTINUED ABOVE.

  • A good song.

  • Did not know Dan had passed, he did our wedding. We had the cutest baby girl on the planet, till this video, NEVER FORGET, EVER.

  • A haunting song. I love it. Tells a real story.

Doesn't matter if somebody calls it country or pop or

whatever. It's a song that sticks with me, especially the ending.

  • @babymonkey592 Yeah they can, they've just been run out of Nashville.

  • Rest in Peace Partner. You Are The BEST!!!

  • The people who call themselves country today... WOW. It's a pop video in a Stetson. A bunch of giggling yuppie teenagers pretending to be something else.

  • nice work on video.

  • The song can just tear your heart out!

  • My fav. Dan Seals song. It is so pretty, the words, the singer, the message - all of it is. I sure miss Mr. Seals. I think cancer got him too. He will always be one of the greatest, ever. All that glitters sure isn't gold.

  • @MrPuppy66 Who cares about what you clicked or didn't click on. Keep it to youself.

  • @sweetckeeks100 no its because in a episode he said everything that glitters is not gold -_-

  • Every song Dan did was a gem, he was my favorite singer. This song was so special because of the way Dan wove the story together.

  • Dear Dan Seals Fans: Please, if you have Dan Seals first solo album, called: England Dan, Stones, from 1980,please post the songs, because many places want hundreds of dollars for just one CD, which is not only wrong, but shameful! • Wow, I learned that from my former wife! We were not meant for each other, but I didn't obey God and did things my way, and landed up in a very loveless marriage! Now, I'll let God be the boss, and if he brings that special woman my way one day, I'll be ready and prepared, because I'm trying to always grow as a person and Christian! Peace and love to all! I miss you Dan Seals! I always loved his music!!! :+)

  • Thankee kinely, Young Son! Sorry you had to leave so soon! Sorta breaks my heart to listen to this song -- God bless your house, and all in it!

  • i love country music...it makes my mind relax

  • I usually listen to rock and rap, but this song is awesome!! If more country was like this, I would listen to it more.

  • Amazing, Dan Seals sings a song about my wife....weird.

  • I enjoyed this High

School........ Enjoy it today-this will play with me forever.......

  • I was lucky and I saw one of his shows in a small club up here in New England. After the show I went out to his bus and he signed my guitar, an Ibanez Artwood Series. We spoke for a minute as he wrote his name; he said he liked Ibanez guitars, “they make a great guitar”. He was as nice as a person could be no airs about him at all. The signature is fading with time; as I continue play the guitar, however the memories of that night remain strong.

    Dan, rest in peace.

  • @GearingDestroyer That's really cool.

  • This is what must have inspired artist like Garth and randy travis, songs from the heart that could tear you up inside and like to listen over and over.

Thanks Dan the world is a better place having you as a part of your short time with us.

  • @RUGER480REDHAWK Don't forget Keith Whitley

  • This good ole boy made some of the most "to the heart" music I've heard in a long, long time. Bless him - he is already very much missed!

  • Such a great story in these lyrics, and this is true country music at its finest.

  • How sad. How very sad!! What a beautiful voice....

  • Jake Owen did a pretty cool cover of this song, but this is the essential version. Video sucks though.....

  • Dan seals is the real king of country i love his music his songs got me throw some hard times he will be missed.

  • that sucks hes gone.... what a tallent... We need DJ's to play REAL COUNTRY-- THIS IS TRUE COUNTRY & WESTERN! -- saddest part in the song is 'old red'.

  • @jwdundon I work in radio. I'm only 23 so I'm still kind of a rookie. I used to work at a small radio station. At that small station, I had some control over what I played, but wasn't hardly making any money. Took an opritunity that I had to take at a major talk station in a building with a major company with a country station in it. Sad truth, Disc Jockeys at big stations don't get much say in what they play, if any. Gotta push Taylor Swift, gotta sell those records.

  • wow it drives me crazy. I so remember being In The Army sitting in my Ole Bronco listening to a cassette of him. He got me through so many rough times overseas.

i hope he knows how he actually got to so many peoples hearts and souls.

  • extremely well done. gave me goosebumps

  • Really well done video.

  • Dan Seals reminds me of a simpler time. He is missed by a lot of folks

  • Oh shit - I didn't know til just now that he died. RIP. This is my favorite country song ever.

  • What kind of an idiot would give a thumbs down to this song?

  • i miss this guy

  • I love this song it always makes me cry. I use to rodeo a lot and this song means so much to me and really I guess to anyone who has raced. You win some and you lose some. For all the tome and money and hard work, the blood sweat and tears that go into it I guess u really do lose something. Thank you for posting this, it let me go back for just a few moments and remember what I lost and all I gained.

  • What is on the radio today is shit. It Boy Band manufactured country, just like the Backstreet Boys.

  • is this dan's voice or is it a cover?

  • @topkickmb

100% Dan . His voice is hard to mistake .

  • @topkickmb Oh, it's Dan.

  • i like the local version (its about hawaii, where i live. u can suck it bitches XD) but this is just as good. anyway, i've heard a diffrent version.

  • love this song

  • Very sad yo hear about his demise. Was my all time favourite. Dan, your voice will always live on....as long as people listen to country music. May your soul rest in peace.

  • A beautiful, heavenly voice. Rest in peace Mr. Seals

  • I saw him in the"70s in the England Dan days, twice in the "80s after he moved to country, listened to him on the radio years after-I tear up now every time I hear him and remember the times the songs bring back.We all have our time, but Dan's was way too soon.

  • Most country music takes me back to a time I'd rather not remember, but this song will always move my soul...

  • who are the 6 who doesnt like this? do they have better songs?....

  • i love this song he did a wonderful job and god gave him the talent i geuss god wanted some country music too but dan will live on as long as he's in our hearts esspecially this song for me tugs on the heart string cause for everything we win theirs something lost like how we lost dan

  • Dan Seals passed away?? Oh my When?

  • Dan, I pray you are in a place where everything that glitters is gold, where there are pastures wide and waters clear. Where there are fast horses and slow breezes. I hope God likes your music as much as we do, we will always miss your voice it truly was a blessing.

  • dan seal=most underated man in country music

  • agreed - must add Gary Morris to that list

  • @jtshape78 I like Dan Seals, but I loved England Dan~

  • i love this song brings back alot of good times i had and alot ppl that come in my life and that has left ...

  • country music has not been real country since 1990. Today on US99 Chicago plays so-called today's country which is pop or rock n roll.

  • I don't care much for C&W music... but this song is an exception... I've always loved this one!

  • You never will be the person you can be if pressure, tension and discipline are taken out of your life. MOVIEPRINCESS [ DOTT ] COM

  • Great song, very sad about Dan passing away. This is country ; what we have playing on the radio today well I do not know what you would call it but it sure ain't country!

  • @sb2244 i agree completely. there isnt anything like there used to be.

  • @sb2244 I AGREE 100%!! The only thing country out there right now is Jamey Johnson and the radio don't play him!!

  • @sb2244 I agree.I feel the same way about rock music. Most of the good musicians are dead now.

  • @sb2244 There was crap on the radio back then too - we just don't try to remember it.

  • I remenber this being playd on the radio lol

  • it is so sad that he died, his music is so amazing!

  • God Bless Dan Seals. He is immortal as long as his music touches the hearts of others.

  • I wish I could find...

Glen Campbell - You Bring Out The Wild Side Of Me

  • thats a good song

  • thats a good song

  • such a sad song. love it though!

  • yeah it is

  • I love this song so much, it just tears my heart out.

  • yeah! evrything that glitters is not gold; what glitters most is CHARACTER!

  • LOVED it!!!!!

  • This is the song I was named after. :) I love it. #1 the year I was born. It's pretty special.

  • A real gem. The video is excellent. It sure brought back some memories, good and bad, for me. Mostly good.

  • That is such a beautiful song.

  • that litttle girl is sooooooo cute! i love her little blue eyes.

  • This song is beautiful but so sad. There's so many people who put their careers/desires for fame over their families like what's described in this song.

  • Dan Seals is just cool

  • I love this song.. and the ironic thing is whenever me and my dad leave a rodeo that we go to every year in buckeye, arizona this song comes on the radio.. every year it has comeo on and we have been going to that rodeo for 11 years

  • This is a wonderfully moving & true to heart song that hits me deep for many reasons. This is a wonderful video you have put together Bokcani. You picture the beautiful tragedy captured by Dan Seals very well, at least for me. Thanks

  • Great video....Dan would have liked it.

  • I have always loved this song, and this video is fantastic. Very good direction.

  • I was exercising in our community center gym a couple of days ago, listening to classic country music over the speaker system when Dan Seals' song began playing. I hadn't heard it in a long time, and couldn't remember the artist's name. The song is so melancholy and haunting in its simple beauty, it has played in my mind since then. Thanks Bokcani for bringing to life again.

  • Who needs new Age when you got real music? More soul here than "Death Metal!"

  • i remember hearing this song back in the 80's when i was like 8 years old.... i rembember thinking WOW what a moving song... country will never be the same

  • Listen I know dan seals is a legend, im not saying he isnt. And we all miss him dearly!!!

But you really need to hear Stoney Larue sing this song. I hate to say it but he sings it better than Dan. Im a huge fan of Dan Seals but, Stoney's version is much much better.

  • damn I was hoping for a video but this is just as good thanks for posting peace out.

  • I REALLY MISS MY HERO

  • It does not fit the mould to even think that Dan Seals is gone. He is Alive as long as his songs fill the radio waves. My God have mercy on this wonderful, gentle song smith. Hi Dan your soft voice will keep floating the Cameroon air when we want to talk country, feel country, think country, and live country. Dan Seals is gone; long live Dan Seals

  • thx for some great memories back in the 80's dan. <3 you.

  • Does any one realize Dan Seals went on to meet our maker? Back in March of 09' I just found out ....he passed from Mantel cell lymphoma...No words, other than he was a great entertainer and decent man.

  • I did not know that Dan died. How heart breaking!!!!

I named my middle daughter Kasey after this song. Her father & I split up while I was pregnant with her back in 1986. To this day she has never gotten a birthday card. She is now 23. (He chose his glitter and gold.)

  • I had no clue who sang this song but remember it well. I have had a similar experience but my daughter's mother was never a "star". My little Kasey is now 17 and if God wills it, she will be going away to college next year. This is one of the best songs I know of. I also like "Meet Me in Montana." I have been playing it for the last hour........

  • @misskittycasper Don't worry, his loss.

  • Gosh this song brings water to the eyes. It brings back such vivid memories and everytime I hear it, the memories surface,. Thanks for never letting me forget.A great tune!
