is this a software used to change the sound of my acoustic drumset?? for example i record my drum tracks with my acoustic drums using mics and i want to change the sound in the software?? please let me know your thoughts
I have Motu BPM but I don't use it.... it kinda sucks except for the sounds. Battery 3 is more for drum editing than sequencing. I'm not sure what you are looking for but I DEFINITELY recommend Ableton Live 8!! It can do everything both of these programs can do and some! Both programs can be used as plug-ins in Ableton Live 8 although you don't need them if you have Ableton!!! Good Luck!
Does anyone know if each cell has multiple samples for each hit? I.E. with a program like EZdrummer each drum hit will have a different sample of that drum. I can't really tell from this video, but it doesn't seem like Battery does.
I love the sounds. Especially the ability to layer my own samples in a poly form. Big question: I have yet to start MIDI mapping; how do I go about doing this in no nonsense way? And/or do I have to use my keyboard to play these damn kits? I mean, I can enter a rhythm track this way if I have to, but it gets tedious when I'm overdubbing 4 or 5 times.
Depends what DAW you're using. If you're running Logic, you could probably use the caps lock keyboard. As for the overdubbing 4-5 times thing, thats just gonna be one of those evil necessities i'm afraid.
Kontakt is a generic sampler... Battery is an special Kontakt version focused on drum patches. Battery includes drum samples.
Of course you could sample a synth and play it through Battery, but sampling through Kontakt would be easy to edit those sounds. And you could sample drums through Kontakt, but sampling them through Battery would be easier.
amazing sound quality! beats korg m3 out of the water (and other hardware romplers)...only thing with software is pops, clicks, pauses and other unwanted artifacts due to buffer zone adjustment, etc.
no joke, this is one of the best plugins i own. fucking amazing
the east asia drum kit is fucking amazing

anyone know how they triggered the samples in these demos? Do they use one of those big midi drum kits or just a drum pad you think?

No fwd Rvrs loop mode
It doesn't remember modulation routing if you change the filter type
it's ok but could be a lot better

In case you haven't found out yet, Bat. 3 has multiple layering
and each layer in each sample can be edited. You can trig a sample and get a random/ humanized hit/sound every time.
Very rich sounds! And is compatible with a huge base of formats.

It does

What would the difference be between kontakt & Battery?????
escobarstatus 3 years ago
Battery is based more on drum sampling, whereas Kontakt is more for "musical" smapling. If that makes any sense...
