  • Is this a Christian Band?

  • @GodzGraffiti No they are not, a lot of their songs question god in a few lines. the lead vocalist is a non believer.

  • it's a meter change at 2:06 to half time

  • Fucking amazing.

  • Why can't they ever have clarinet in their live performances? It sounds so awesome!

  • why did the 99 song revolution only have 11 songs lol I brought it but im just curious

  • @coolbreeze101b This is the first volume of the 99 songs :P If you find a CD that can hold 99 songs, call me. lol

  • @coolbreeze101b 9 volumes

  • Heard them sing this live.

    I loved it.

  • Tom's a Squirrel Nut Zippers fan huh? Shit, can this guy get any more awesome?

  • They cant eat the cakes, because their teeth have been extruded... SWEET IRONY.

  • my favorite band right here!!! i dont like the idea of an all cover album soo it took me sometime to give it a try but i love it now! <3 streetlight manifesto FOREVER!!

  • Teeth are extruded and bones are ground

And baked into cakes which are passed around

    Cupcakes????

  • WHERE'S MY SPEEDBALLLL?

  • nice

  • Best song by them! :D

  • /watch?v=GU8QQDgO40I&feature=related

  • Duuude they broke that shit DOWWWNNN!!!! xD Fuck yes wicked cover of an already great song

  • I came here for a Newgrounds video...and im glad of it!

  • @duck31100 By pivots?

  • mmm teethcakes

  • Why does streetlight make this cover so well? The band that inspired a lot of the music tomas writes for streetlight was the bandthat made the original. The more you know. lol

  • @xRetroismx ALL of the covers on this album are by bands or songs that inspired him or affected his childhood in someway or another...

  • @Valkodu of course, as a musician myself, i chose to perform songs that inspire me

  • @xRetroismx Likewise.

  • @sirgrimme lair

    !

  • Ovo je đipanje. Đipam.

  • Download the audio from this tune at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • Best version

  • this cover defeats the original, in my opinion, plus their cover of bad religion's skyscraper is good too

  • Didn't know Streetlight covered this song, what a nice surprise

  • this, and most other streetlight songs, is an orgasm to my ears.

  • I have memories involving this song.

  • I like to listen to the words.....

  • @sirgrimme I know I'm responding to a comment that's at least a year old, but I hope you realize that They Provide the Paint for the Picture-Perfect Masterpiece that You Will Paint on the Insides of Your Eyelids was originally by Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, another one of Kalnoky's bands. So that song was also written by him. However, there is something missing from the other songs on the album, but they're still really great.

  • @sirgrimme of course, their song writing is so genius. its nice that they decided to do this project with the other 3 bands though. and its nice of them to give the two "streetlight related bands" some spotlight on this.

  • @sirgrimme oh man, maybe for you, i loved it, punk rock girl, such great hights, linoleum, hell red rubber ball, i cant stop listening to it sometimes

  • I pissed my pants...

I'm a long term fan of SNZ,

I'm a long term fan of SLM,

I didn't think it was possible to join the two...

    This...This...This is just...Just...AMAZING!

My old man is gonna be stoked to hear this!

  • d-a-m-n-a-t-i-o-n

  • Not bad. I prefer the SNZ version, but this is definitely decent.

  • @sirgrimme the first time I listened, i wasn't either. The more I go back through it, the more I like it, though. It starts to grow on you

  • ska-tastic!

    *starts skanking*

  • I have to say, I'm impressed by this song. As a cover it (in my opinion) completely blows the original out of the water. But as someone else said I agree Kalnoky's songwriting is by far Streetlight's Greatest strength, So while I enjoy'd 99SoR, My favorite song is They Provide the Paint and I look forward to more orginal material from them.

  • @sirgrimme I think the same thing.

  • Ska is far form dead!!!!

  • Why is it called 99 Songs of Revolution when there are only 11 songs?

  • @Michaelfougnie It's only Volume I. Presumably, there will be 9 volumes.

  • @Michaelfougnie theres 11 songs on that album, streetlights doing eight more albums 11 songs each and then there will be 99

  • @StuckeyMurdog No. There will be 99 songs but made by four different artists; Streetlight Manifesto, Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, and two more "Streetlight M. related" bands. There may be eight albums though...

  • i listened to this song like 30 times

  • RESPECT FOR STREETLIGHT JUST WENT UP ABOUT 99 PERCENT.

  • 2:06 coolest change of tempo ever

  • @explosion333 But they never changed tempo.

  • @explosion333 The tempo does not change at all. What are you referring to?

  • @frendofdan half time at 2:06. regular time at 2:12

  • @MoshersRage robert

  • @RadioactiveSpaceman Enripske

  • @MoshersRage hahahahahaha

  • @RadioactiveSpaceman sorry about Saturday man haha we should really get together and jam soon. maybe play out this song ;)

  • @MoshersRage Yeah, but the tempo doesn't change...

  • @frendofdan no idea, they just play the notes slower but that doesn´t mean a tempo change...

  • makes me miss the old dead like me not that bad movie that just made more questions than gave answers

  • @sirgrimme

lmao, id say kalnoky's songwriting gets blown away by their pure musicianship and talent. they can play mary had a little lamb and make it sounds like beethoven on crack. they are just that good. this song was a lesser on this album. listen to the first 20 seconds of such great heights and youll see ingenuity doesnt always make an album, sheer musicality is an aspect. this is the case. these are covers. and they all are freaking amazing.

  • wtf is this shit, shity ass cover almost makes me want to learn the original so i could cover it. dont get me wrong i love street light manifesto to death but there latest album was crap

  • This song is definitely one of the best of the album, but my personal favorite is Such Great Heights. The beginning especially.

  • @sirgrimme Definetly.

Rubber Ball, Just, and Troubador were the other good songs.

But still not half as good as any other Streetlight Album.

I kinda wish Kalnoky would just write 99 songs.....

  • anyone have the baritone solo part?? pleasee?

  • @sirgrimme I thought the Such Great Heights cover was absolutely fantastic especially the horn intro mimicking the keyboard introduction. It wasn't so much disappointing as underwhelming...it wasn't original material we were getting so it's bound to be disappointing.

  • I will completely agree that this is the best song, but I wasn't disappointed by the other covers.

  • yeah i was bummed by this album as a whole i mean im down for some streetlight covers but i think they should cover songs that would be good to cover no just these punk osngs they decided to cover. this album<everything went numb...but this song isnt bad

  • I can't think of anything witty and revolutionary to say right now. The best I can do: Kalnoky's a freaking genius, this song is awesome, Streetlight Manifesto is the shit!

  • EARGASMIC

  • @sirgrimme meh i think it is as good as they provide the paint

  • solo at 1:30 is clarinet right?

  • @riley19219 It definitely is I want to know if it's Conti playing though cuz he didn't sound nearly as good on clarinet on here's to life.

  • @riley19219 yep

  • @sirgrimme ha i liked most of the songs, this one is awesome but i DID like most of the album. streetlight is so awesome, i missed them last year at warped tour :s

  • now the D and A and the M and the N and the A

and the T and the I-O-N!!!

  • the sax solo towards the end makes me hott.

  • @L0v3m333 I love playing that solo. the band i'm in is doing a kind of cover of this cover. its so much fun to play the whole song but i LOVE playing this solo

  • hey dude.. do you have the solo for baritone? would love to have it in just any way as long i can play it sometimes...hee... thanks!

  • I FUCKING CAME. This song is EVERYTHING amazing!

  • Dear Youtube:

Let me like videos more than once, because this deserves it

    ~much love

  • Streetlight is an amazing band beyond human understanding. I saw them live, its epic beyond understanding. These guys have the most loyal fan base I have ever seen.

  • @Animeoverlord00 they have a shitload of faggot ass fans and the singer knows it

  • Streetlight Manifesto is the only band that I know of that makes covers sound better then the originals.

  • Ahhh, that bend at 2:16 gets me every time.

  • This is an album of covers. They are paying homage to their musical influences.

  • The fact is, everyone that listens to music at all will listen to this band atleast once in there life & love every second of it! It's just the way it is, people love streetlight.

  • This album should be owned by anyone who's ever heard music.

  • good cover, but c'mon, the original is bad to the bone... much love to SM I agree, this or linoleum is in the running for best song on this album...but in terms of doing the originals justice, my idea of what a cover should do...idk

  • @liadrummer I actually think this is better then the original. The brass is so much more fluid and talented. If you didn't know this was a cover, you might think its a SM original. They took it and they made it their own.

  • @chikenshitconformist Extrememly Large Oversized Juicy Super Streetlight Thumbs Up With +++ Vim and Vigor.

  • this song is amazing. i love the big band sound of it. best song off of the first CD, i thought it was great all around though.

  • i need original material

  • Probably the best song off the new album that i havent bought yet. A Streetlight Manifesto cover album is sort of like the third star trek movie. Sure, Spock is there in spirit in that Lenard Nemoy is directing, but come on, we miss Spock. Streetlight Manifesto has two albums both of which have an extremely similar sound. This album has the same sound as well, but with the baffling decision not to include the best horn section in the biz in some songs.

  • The way I see it is streetlight is trying for of a traditional sond in this album. It personaly impresses me mainly because they aren't doing it to impress their newly acquired fans who like their more ska-core sound, but those of us who have been listening since for awhile. streetlights trying to please both side of their loyal fans, the ska kids, and the more punk and hard core kids. :) like a trade off. next album will probably sound more like in the between. just my opinion.

  • @stabberspvfork smartest thing ne1's posted in awhile

  • @stabberspvfork favorite album. ever.

  • @pwnsaucepwny xD streetlight is amazing in general. I was like ten when I first heard catch22 and then streetlight manifesto... six short (yet long) years ago. and they hooked me on to ska permanently. I hope they never stop making music.

  • @stabberspvfork Well, that sucks then. They shouldn't be playing music to please the fans, they should be doing for the sake of art.

  • @TeknophagistMusic

I think both should be done. If they have a song to play, or a story to tell, sing it, tell it. If you have fans that would like something done in a way not natural to you, try it! The best artists are inspired, and what are fans if not muses that pay you.

  • That is a good point, sir.

  • Favourite song off their album.=)
