  • Yep, Amplifier it is (remember it well as it's my bro Ed on drums). Time X Space was the best track on Amplifier me thinks.

  • wheres "sex and agriculture"?.....there was also a live gig recorded at the auckland town hall or some where that was screened on national t.v here in n.z...the sound on it was top notch, use to have it on vhs....

  • ha ha...i remember this...about 86...big sister was into them...i always looked up to them..always had the cool clothes...black stovepipes...buckle boots etc....you had to send to england to get that stuff...before the internet...new zealand a million miles from nowwhere...

  • One of their best songs.Underated.

  • Easily one of my favs from Jordan and the team off 'Expectations' @ 1985 written by Jordan and Chris Sheehan Some lyrics; 'She's a friend Awkward moments Let's forget Drunken comments There was once a love Now they're souvenirs In a drawer moist with tears It's not the things you never said It's fun the thoughts you have to guess Tis said that some have died for love or killed But only I could die and love you still Ashburton day August "Wastrels" Ward's again The...
  • @Blackscorpion1963 Actually it's from "Amplifier"

  • @iamacomposer Actually its on both albums 'Expectations' released in My '85 and re-released in 1999 and 'Amplifier' released in 1986. Do your research.

  • @Blackscorpion1963 This version was recorded by ME and it is not the version on Expectations, it is from Amplifier.

  • @iamacomposer In future then it would be appreciated if which version the song is from be included in the heading and/or title i.e. which album. To be honest I couldn't give a toss which version is which. However when precious recorders of songs like to become petty and pedantic over their recordings then I think it's time they chilled out and took a reality check.

  • @Blackscorpion1963 I never posted the video, check your facts before abusing others.

  • Ashburton days, August Wastrels. Good Canterbury lads.

Anyone got the video to Sex and Agriculture. That, from memory, was an awesome song.

  • @goldbugnz FINALLY someone else who is wondering where the glory is for Sex and Agriculture. It seems to be a forgotten Dance Exponet song

  • Wow, it seems so long ago but I use to be friends with the lead guitarist. Chris was his name. Wonder what ever happened to him.

  • Can someone tell the relation between "Dance Exponents" and "The Exponents"?

  • One and the same. They dropped the 'Dance' after returning to New Zealand from a failed British sojourn that lasted from about 1987 to 1991.

  • @palitobcn Name change is all.....will forever be the Dance Exponents!

  • 0:07 THAT IS RICK ASTLEY O_O

  • I first heard this song when the Dance Exponents support David Bowie in 1983...a standout track in a sea of hits !

  • This is my favourite Exponents song I think the guitar work is brilliant, remind`s me of some great nights

  • Brilliant song! reminds me of my days growing up in Auckland
